Agreed. I find that anytime a game aims for hyper-realism, it makes me far more aware of the things that still end up being unrealistic, in a negative way.

Light bends for any coin!
I think we can both agree that, in general, a lot of people suck. There's no defending people who suck. I guess what I take offense to is the implication that this problem is somehow specific to geeks, or our entertainment.
"It'll be a lot of people discussing how she's not sexy enough, or that they'd tap that"
"In this case, the threat is that – ultimately – fandom won't cater to guys almost to exclusion… that gays, lesbians, racial and religious minorities and (gasp!) women might start having a say in the way that games, comics, etc. will be created in the future"
Not that you're wrong, but the genre was a lot less refined before WoW. Nowadays, any new MMO has to compete against it and its years of improvements. Launching a game today that is comparable to WoW in its infancy would make for pretty sad competition.
I like that the surface is smaller; returning to areas repeatedly does a better job of making them familiar and giving them a sense of importance. Fast travel needs improving though. It's so frustrating to have to jump to the sky, turn your bird around, and dive right back in just to move from one side of an area to…
I've never heard of it as a matter of discarding heat, but rather reducing how much of the body is exposed to direct sunlight. The hot noon sun falls more on head and shoulders instead of the entire length of your back.
I won't cry doom and predict Nintendo's downfall, but you have to admit a lot of that list are legitimately questionable decisions.
Some of the tangents are pretty amusing, leading to a writing style I would say I enjoy. Other tangents somehow run on forever and I lose track of what we're even talking about.
Better yet, a full on MMO. They've been building on 2v2 and 3v3 mechanics for awhile now, and the games often have you traveling with another trainer at times. Keep the gyms and random NPC trainers to battle for story progression, make breaking into Team Rocket etc a group instance.
I'm with you on this one. The only times I would describe the game as anything resembling "difficult" was when the controller would act up and Link wouldn't perform exactly the move I needed.
"I knew what I was supposed to do..."
Oh man this is great news!
I completely agree with you. I would be able to accept it though with the explanation that they knew they were coming, and Cerberus gained info from your previous encounters to develop new weapons tailored against them. This would be especially plausible if you chose the renegade ending for ME2. I'd still prefer giant…
You guys really can't post anything related to DNF without mentioning how much you hate it eh? Why do you report on these things at all?
Can you cite what sources you've been hearing of this Goddess of Time from over the years? Other than a passing mention of little consequence in Majora's Mask, I'm not sure what you're referring to.
"Din, Nayru, and Farore are all present in this game". So is the goddess. All as distinct, separate entities; except Din, Nayru, and Farore have been demoted from their Goddess status. There is only one deity in this game, and the other three serve her.
It's difficult to fully comment on this without bringing in spoilers from later in the game. I really doubt it's something that Nintendo would ever flesh out between games though. They can't even get their major characters and plot points straight, you must have way more faith in their narrative abilities than I do to…
