It is very hard to tell isn't it, I do like the future setting and the visual design of some of the technology. But yes I'm seeing a lot of red flags, mostly to do with it's marketing, that they keep pushing how "this is the technology we'll soon be seeing in real life".

I meant Coldblooded in its Modern Warfare 2 iteration, and then more about how it hide you from enemy UAV's, yet in Black Ops II it will only do so while you are moving.

Those aren't very two comparable, could you offer me an example of two games from the same series perhaps, where age isn't too heavy a factor (eg: the leap from Battlefield 2 to Battlefield 3)? Is Counter Strike source and 1.6 a good example of game expressed differently in two engines?

Announcing your presence to a quickscoper without favorable positioning is far too much of a risk, you are significantly better off catching them with a trap, attacking from out of their sight or catching them between attacks. If they can see you, they can kill you.

Not that, the possible improvements a new engine could offer.

While I've got you here, what do you think of the coldblooded thing.

That's a good point. It'd make knife fights a lot more interesting, it might be more interesting if you could deflect or sidestep a knife attack though, but near simultaneous melees should be resolved as such.

Huh, you're right, weird... For some reason I thought that it wasn't and decide to search it up, thanks for the comment.

I've got to ask, what's the deal with the engine?

What was it about MW3 that made you stop there?

I really like the idea of create-a-class, perks and equipment myself. But a lot of it does have to do with it being well made in its movement and other such stuff as well, yeah...

I'd be down for version of Call of Duty where that kind of weapon could pop up.

Working from the bottom up.

It's got a lot to do with the mentality. I am so glad the pistols are powerful enough to counter quickscoping. But in that lies one of the problems with quickscoping in Black Ops II, if you do not get that initial one shot kill, you can switch to you pistol in a split second.

Nah, that's fine. More melee options could be cool however, like a faster melee at the cost of the one hit kill factor.

Yep.

New melee mechanics? (From article link: "pure next-gen") Wonder what they mean? I would love to see melee weapon options if only aesthetic. "EXO-SUIT PUNCH!"
