Good thing whether or not a game sequel is a cornucopia of never before seen concepts and ideas, otherwise we wouldn't be able to condemn this new Call of Duty based on a single aspect of my own choosing.
I'm not sure Call of Duty has a uniform map standard with their games, do you mean the more recent three lane design?
Modern Warfare 1 or 2? (I'd say it's a safe bet you don't meanModern Warfare 3.)
I believe the guys behind Titanfall when they were at Infinity Ward wanted to drop the Call of Duty part from Modern Warfare 2's title but Activison wouldn't have it (the buggers).
Modern Warfare 2 has some very satisfying gunplay, followed by Black Ops and in descending order of sensation from there onward: World at War, Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 3 then finally Ghosts (Ghosts' gunplay be very lackluster).
Someone here hasn't tried Veteran mode.
Not that new for Call of Duty, it wouldn't be the first time politically or socially sensitive subjects have been touched upon or used.
I was referring to the multiplayer in that last sentence, I'd be interested to hear why you say they're "the same game".
It'd be a bit funky but I can't say it wouldn't be fun.
It'd be neat to get a new World War II game, but maybe not from Call of Duty.
Why is everyone so down in the dumps though? Imperfect fidelity and animation seem practically trivial if the aesthetic is nice enough to compensate, which I dunno' I'd say it's pretty enjoyable.
World at War was also the only one with split screen co-op if I recall, great game, though dogs were unstoppable death machines.
Trying to out fox your opponents, setting traps, anticipating their moves, flushing them out or just straight up getting in their face and making em' panic... whats not to love?
Maybe Cill Bosby is on to something.
Zippity boppity... I've got nothing...

It was nice to have some enjoyable music.
You never know, it might be just that. A true return to form, the odds may not be in their favor, but there's always a chance.
No need to be a dick about it though.
