Why couldn't we have gotten a good Front Mission game, classic gameplay or otherwise.

Yep, that sounds like Call of Duty 3. I didn't think of this at the time but I think the Halo series does as well.

It took me far longer than I care to admit to figure out how to make an effective mech in Chromehounds, I got half way through the campaign with mechs that moved at a glacial pace.
