That quest was the worst.
That quest was the worst.
Done, hit me up either on Discord or PS if you wanna play. I can usually play after 17:00 GMT +1 on weekdays.
There’s also the fact that the stats on the monsters presented in the quests were skewed to be waaaaaay too easy.
That and that you only had 20 minutes which was annoying.
When they are little diamonds it means you are out of combat and have infinite stamina. They’ll be full bars once you get into combat.
Not that drastically, and i think it changes from weapon to weapon. I think you really just have to get a feel for it.
You probably have more time to adjust with slower and heavier weapons.
One thing to think about is that after every few hits or so you should roll if you sense the monster is either gonna move or attack.
I’m playing on PS4 and heck yeah i wanna play. I’ve been playing by myself all the way into high rank and am really bored.
To add to this, once you have enough tracking information gathered from scoutflies, you’ll be able to see if the monster is exhausted, enraged or near death denoted by, in order, a mouth with a sweatdrop, an exclamation mark and a skull.
If you have a trap and two tranq bombs on hand and see that the monster has a…
Oh, here’s another good tip.
In your item box you can press Start/Options to set a preset for items.
This way you can register items to quickly prepare for a hunt as well as dumping all the crap you had on you beforehand.
Also at the smithy you can press triangle/Y to wishlist an item, and when you pick up one of the…
There are a lot of options you can tweak to make your hunting easier. One of them is to make the target camera only lock-on to large monsters. This way you wont suddenly target, say, a small ass jagras when you have a t-rex breathing down your neck.
Other things you should tweak is how the radial dials work and the…
Here are a few pro tips:
When mounting, its not a random chance when doing an aerial attack to mount. It’s actually a hidden progress bar.
Jumping attacks does “mounting damage” and when it fills up the bar you mount.
After mounting once the bar resets and needs more mounting damage for you to mount again.
The lock-on is not the same as the one in dark souls or the like, it’s a camera lock on.
You need to aim your attacks manually or carefully, or you’ll regret it.
It all depends on where you aim your left stick as you do an attack, this way you can start an attack facing forward, and transtition straight into an 180.
I…
Did you know about the new move for hammer? The R2 + Circle one that powers you up and changes your moveset up a bit?
Lvl 3 charge standing still attack fucken sends a meteor into the monsters head.
You press Y/Triangle + RT/R2 where you charge forward for a bit then jump into the air. You don’t necessarily jump off of the monster.
It’s dope as heck though.
I do wish with all my being that the hunting styles were a thing in world.
Because aerial greatsword was one of the funniest things ever.
Insect Glaive is infinitely easier to play on console, not only do you have a stick for aiming the kinsect, but the kinsects are also now their own equipment seperate from the glaive itself.
And upgrading them is a simple-ish tech tree.
The good ol’ days of monster hunter tri/3u with walls of text pop-ups until hour 30.
no probs
If you go to the quest board and click “Join Quest” one of the options is “Respond to SOS”, it lets you filter what you want to help out on and if you are eligible for rewards.
If 10 minutes has passed in the quest people will not be eligible for end of quest rewards.
It is supremely useful!
Here’s a pro tip for everyone trying to find people before they go on a quest: Don’t.
It was extremely tedious to not only find a session with similarly leveled players, but everyone else was busy doing their own thing.
No, what i found much more successful was to utilize the SOS system.
Start the quest, fire your flare…
