I'll agree with you on this, even a warped 240 shell demands a high price these days specifically because of drifting, just cause the sub frame is warped and/or its not street legal these things command a high price plus engine mods, also, 5 G's = not cheap, 3 grand maybe, not 5, not for a track car.

200 quid for a beaten old lexus V8, strip it, clean it buy your self some toughened glass(you'll need pricing on that) and some steel piping for the legs and bam, all done for 300-350 depending what materials you choose.
