His definition of “we meet in the middle” is “the dealer takes a huge bath”

Such a strategy would make sense .... if automobile production wasn’t effectively shut-down as well. While inventory may be high now, there’s no influx of new vehicles dealers feel forced to move that would have them (or the automakers, most likely) put a huge amount of cash on the hood.

They’re better off waiting

Contrarily, they often waste my time and usually get the better end of the deal anyway

Yup. If I’m trying to sell something on Craigslist and get offered half my asking price, I simply don’t respond. The chances said person are going to come up to a reasonable value are slim-to-none.

Put yourself in their shoes. They’re not stupid, they know best case you’re trying to play a game to get them to go lower

I miss my 07 Civic Si. I agree, bring back the 9k RPM inline 4s!

Another 50+ slide article? Fuck that noise. I skipped ahead via the URL just to voice my extreme displeasure at this new trend.

I drove one in rental spec from Austin to Big Bend and back. It was a better all around car than I thought it would be.

Everyone’s downsizing on cylinder counts. Everyone seems fine with the new Ford GT, and that’s a turbo 6, so I don’t see this as an issue. We’re well past the point where a super car has to have a V12

I love Radwood. Where else is wearing Zubaz not only acceptable but encouraged?

A lightly used BMW i3. It's short and makes the most of the space it has with very usable cargo room. It has loads of room for me at 6'4" and it's length is a bit SHORTER than a Honda fit. The electric torque is fun, and it has all the parking aids you could ever want

Neutral:

I don’t know why TP became THE THING to have, but it’s frustrating as I am actually running low.

I was able to buy enough pantry essentials at Costco though to get me through a couple weeks if needed, so that’s nice.

I really hope the 2-door arrives on steelies like we see in the pic, hopefully in a form relatively affordable compared to the Wrangler.

If you drive a C5 corvette, you may find the gas shuts off prematurely because of the saddle-bag tank design. The left tank fills up first, then a hose between the two tanks at the top starts spilling over to the right tank. The issue is that the tank is almost full for half the fill up and a splash can easily cause

Car and Driver put it best reviewing the 8th gen Si: "like grabbing the wrong end of a soldering iron or a popsicle, depending on the season"

I don’t care how clean it is, I’m not paying M5 money for an inferior product.

Yes, but a key point to keep in mind is that as the grid moves more to renewable energy EVERY SINGLE electric car on the road gets more efficient.

Electric cars are just a piece of the puzzle.

People: “WE WANT A JEEP TRUCK!”
FCA: “Naw, you’re just saying that”
People: “NO REALLY IT’S THE THING WE WANT MOST OF ALL THE THINGS IN THE WORLD”

It would end up being like lowering the windshield on a new Wrangler. Technically possible but not worth it.

Yup! A car key coincidentally works well to start your PC in this manner, though so does a small flathead screwdriver.
