First gen Leaf had ~80 miles of range when new. Maybe they got better before the second gen came out but I wouldn’t trust a first gen Leaf at this point to have the necessary range to get me where I need to go.

Second gen Leaf on the other hand ... (or, an i3)

$300k + $200k “market adjustment” probably.

I’m not a big fan. It helps that he chose a darker color, so all the aero bits of the RS don’t stick out so much, but all the aero bits are there for a very specific purpose (and are not attractive, IMO).

Points for uniqueness, but if you’re going to compromise the aero, just settle for the GT3 Touring and save a

It would seem like something as different as the Cybertruck would warrant prioritization....

Yeah but ... it’s also a new engine? Teething issues aren’t uncommon, even for Toyota, for a brand new product in its first year.

Whelp, we all wondered what it would take to get Elon ousted from Tesla. If there was ever a convenient time, this would be it.

Autonomy should strive to be better than humans and that encourages using added sensors to perceive things we can’t.

GM’s super cruise is better on the highway because you don’t have to keep your hands on the wheel and wiggle it slightly every 30 seconds.

There’s way too many blues in this list, but the Viper GTS in Blue Pearl with the white stripes is fucking iconic.

Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s the Jaguar Land Rover motto.

I absolutely love one-pedal driving in traffic. Instead of gas to brake to gas to brake, I can must modulate the throttle to speed up and slow down as needed.

Kia rates it at 8.8 seconds 0-60 so yeah, it’s pretty damn slow. That’s over a second off the Telluride

I don’t think so. The other car around that time with weird doors was the Mazda RX-8 with it’s rear hinged half doors.

Exactly. When you have the room to open the door all the way, it’s SO much easier to get into than most supercars.

The manual is what killed Supra killed sales, but it’s all Toyota’s fault. Once the manual was announced, a lot of potential Supra buyers (myself included) decided that was the one to have, but they’re hard to come by. You either wait, which would be an unrealized sale on Toyota’s part, pay markup for the limited

That is a big part of the problem. Paint can cover for a lot. Any significant repairs to steel is going to leave marks that you can’t just buff out

I’m equally offended at how terrible of an attempt at a PIT maneuver that was.

I was wondering why this was a thing, and why GN suddenly decided to put them on blast, because that’s the headline I saw first. I thought the same thing, if I want in-depth, rigorous testing I wouldn’t even think to go to LTT.

Okay Karen.
