Well, I suppose it’s kind of hard when the article is more about Hamilton’s historic win than the race itself...

To be fair, probably not. There’s a 90% chance of Hamilton winning anyways.
Subaru Forester because it fits tall and short people while not being a massive vehicle by today’s standards. The newer models are decent on gas and packed with safety features
Interesting that you (properly) believe Lewis is clinical, but Max is not. I agree that LeClerc is fluid, and maybe the only other driver on the current grid that I would compare Charles to is Riccardo, but I don’t think Alonso drives like either of the two aforementioned men.
I grew up rooting for Schumacher but I’m so happy for Lewis. I firmly believe Lewis is the GOAT of Formula One. 100 wins and 8 titles is just around the corner.
lol, I had a day like that as the noobie. I had BMWCCA driver training day in New Hampshire and the instructor drove, taking me around the figure 8 teaching throttle steer. He also installed 2 bent valves :P
I’ll give you my $0.02 as a current Mustang owner and potential MachE owner:
Not just the car. If you look at the comparison the FIA made, they used factors and algorithms that would discount the performance of the car from the equation and Hamilton still came out third (I think). He was only beaten by Ayrton Senna and Micheal Schumacher, which is kind of to be expected.
“To my critics and to whom it may concern, fuck you.”
It’s not the powertrain I’m necessarily worried about. It’s the rest of the car. Those crazy doors, the suspension, the general electronics, the AC unit; ya know, the stuff that typically needs to be occasionally worked on, repaired, and replaced as cars age.
I consider myself somewhat of an enthusiast, I’ve owned some interesting yet fundamentally compromised vehicles like a G-body El Camino and a stick shift 3rd Gen Acura TL Type S. Those were fun cars to drive, and I was happy to own them. In the Acura I probably spent more on tickets and lawyers than I did on…
“All those people that drive RAV-4s are boring and have no style!”-Dudes who’s wardrobe is exclusively cargo shorts, printed novelty t-shirts and New Balance tennis shoes.
People buy a car to perform a task. If that task is: fun to drive, fast but not too fast, then Miata is your answer. When my wife and I were young and expecting our first kid, the task was “family car”. Therefore, it had to hold two adults, a baby in a car seat and all the assorted items that come with that.…
“Maybe these RAV4 buyers didn’t know that they could get an interesting car instead.”
And a Tacoma was the closest thing they had to a RWD manual sportscar.
As you probably know, at one point the Toyota RAV4 V6 was actually the quickest zero-to-sixty car in their lineup.
I’ve never understood why a driver giving candid voice to his feelings is somehow an act of apostasy. They’re allowed to be human. They aren’t required to dissect every “mistake” a viewer may have noticed on the television and concede that mistake(s) as pivotal to a loss.
Long term Seb fan here, but damn if Lewis aren’t winning the people’s award right now with awareness.
It suffered from VWitis. They made a good affordable “peoples car” sports coupe in the Scirocco. Then VW built the Scirocco III (aka the Corrado) and realized that they had priced it too high and no one would buy a Scirocco for that price and had to rename the car to Corrado. They slowly and steadily have done the…
