I think it’s the perfect place. It adds to the mythology further by focusing on the dying flora around the city of Midgar, something that was difficult to portray in blocky PS1 3D graphics.

Definitely a testing remnant. Nintendo would never knowingly let something like this, especially from another huge non-Nintendo IP, slip through the cracks on purpose. I expect this to get patched out in a few days with this being talked about now.

Dear stupid, it’s been 100% confirmed for months the game will be a full 60-100 hour game. Yes the plot is only the midgar arc but it is in every other way a full game.
