I mean, if they’re from kids, they’re also more susceptible to something exploiting basic psychology rather than high critique of design.

The weird thing is that those terrible thumbnails get TONS of clicks, so they’re doing SOMEthing right.

True, but I would argue that those limited uses are different for two key reasons:
1) They existed BEFORE it became transformed into a racist symbol.
2) They still don’t use it among a global audience.

But... they absolutely do in this game. LITERALLY EVERYONE’S armor can be shattered off in combat, which leaves all of the guys showing off their ripped, well-muscled figures for everyone to enjoy.

The best part was one of the replies to that Tweet, looking at how this changes its relationship with Mantine:

Absolutely flawless Simpsons reference.

I couldn’t disagree more thoroughly.

I am nothing but pleased with all of this, especially all of the lasting support for Comrades. I’ve loved all of the DLC so far, and think that the wider perspective that these latest DLC seem to be taking are fantastic. (A little sad that there isn’t a World of Ruin Episode Iris DLC though).

...did you just assume Lucio1995's gender?

Apparently he’s also, “he’s way less scarier than he’s ever been.” (although I don’t think so at all).

There’s so much humor in the delivery that Tim does that would be utterly impossible if these were reduced to articles, though. While a point-by-point dissection & comparison of FFVII’s translation could be interesting, it wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable as this video series has been.

YYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!

Every new little little bit of speculative insight into what our cow farm raised, eye-strained, 124 consecutive hour working translator might’ve done to mess up these sentences brings me nothing but joy.

I think it might be something around “Why” as a licensed piece of music and how all that works in Japan preventing them from easily putting it on a newer platform. Either way, it’s a massive tragedy it’s never been given an updated release.

Thank you for the Horse-Laugh translations. Important and amazing stuff, and this series is amazing. I also hope to hear the no-swear story some day.

Thanks for writing this up. I never knew why Clone High got cancelled, but I absolutely loved it. My friends and I still quote the show all the time.

I wanted to thank you for pointing out this blatant inconsistency in logic, since this stupid claim got shamelessly plugged at the end of his latest article:

Terminator Genisys is the #1 example of this not happening with a bigger film, and a huge moment being utterly and irrevocably spoiled in a trailer (and then subsequently in posters and everything else).

I’d disagree, only because of Terminator Genisys.
