I agree that this isn’t the year, but we can’t whitewash him out of the history of video games. I know it’s hard to have nuanced discussions about these things, but we can’t really have a society where everyone is judged by the worst thing they have ever done. People are good and bad, people learn, people make

LTTP is one of my Top 3 favorite games of all time. That being said, how the heck does this make it out to be sold when it’s 95% a direct copy? I mean, this is the kind of thing I’d see Nintendo throw the ol’ cease and desist thing at, no?

Agreed. Origin is fantastic, especially if you play all three characters, saving the unlockable third one for last.

Correcting the grammar of an article, or title/headline of article, is totally acceptable. Correcting grammar of other comments is annoying.

No. By saying you don’t want to be “that guy”, means you not only are ALWAYS “that guy”, but you want people to make sure you are.
Just say your peace and move on lol.
It’s like saying something racist.

The subjunctive/conditional tense is something that I don’t think is properly taught in school growing up, so most kids don’t understand it. I think mainly because the verbs conjugate similarly to their present tense.

I shan’t refrain from extolling your veridical endeavors in instituting an efficacious discipline of a felicitous grammatical embrace.

Yeah I also say wont all the time in this context. It’s definitely an archaic use though. Even just spelling it in the modern way aids reader comprehension (as is their want, as they are want to do), but is less satisfying somehow.

Your position might make sense were the issue to be in the original text. But it isn’t, you are upset they didn’t like your joke. Part of translation, if your intention is absolute accuracy, is to represent the original content as accurately as possible in the new language. In this case an accurate translation would

It was then that Fujibayashi and his team realized they’d made something special a very big mistake.

Man I went into reading this thinking I knew exactly how it was going to go and I was wrong. The questions were good questions that got good answers. I don’t 100% support Cooks agenda but I understand and respect it. She doesn’t mind that fan service exists and doesn’t want it banned or to shun people who like it, she

You sound like a kind person. I do agree that reviews should ideally focus on how well a piece of art achieves its own objective. Critiques, on the other hand, are meant to discuss the overall merit of a piece of art, the critic’s reactions to it, its social and moral implications, etc. There’s a place for both of

I think you make a good point. For all the attention pulled on the bodies...they’ve made that into a pretty brutal sport. It would have been easy to just have silly fun and make it all about the fanservice. But they actually built a show along with that. The girls are using tactics, skills, and putting in the physical

Women are valued by how they appeal to men, because in some contexts, that’s precisely what men are looking for in women. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the physical aspect of male attraction

The problem is when we generalize the worth of a woman to be solely in how she appeals to a man. When women are seen as

Even if it is written with the intention of titillating a male audience that doesn’t change the writing or characterization of the characters. If the characters are being presented as strong females who have hopes, dreams, goals, and passion with determination and spirit for what they are doing and portraying a

There’s a curious answer to the problem of hating an anime or disagreeing with it: don’t watch it, and don’t buy its merchandise. Vote with your wallet.

I’m just here to say that the fluffy shoes in that cover photo blend with the floor and I thought this man was proposing to a girl with really stumpy legs. That is all.
