Then the traffic dude gives the vehicle/plate of the dude running away over the radio so the cops can attempt to catch him without bullets, like those cops should have done in the first place. It may well end the same way, but it also may not have.

Most commodity-grade “super” bikes do get used. I mean, they’re expensive toys, yes, but regular people buy them and ride them and I’d argue motorcycle racing is the last true bastion of “Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday.”

Yeah, as much as I’m not for completely eliminating traffic stops, I’m equally against that whole ‘just be nice to the cops’ bullshit. Cops are people. Some people are just assholes, and some people are assholes on power trips. Cops can just as easily be assholes on power trips. They may also be pulling you over not

Do we just stop trying to solve murders because we can’t catch half of them?”

Cameras don’t have to be hidden. They can be big and obvious and make it also obvious that you’re going to get a huge ticket.

24: crap, I already feel it setting in!

Toyota makes deep rubber ones for all of its 4x4 vehicles. I’m not sure about the crossovers or cars though. They’re both good quality and pretty cheap. Personally - I like maxpider best of all the aftermarkets. They’re like weathertech, but better - no hard plastic under your feet. They come in either a thin carpet

Headlights on = taillights on has been required on all new vehicles for many decades. What you’re seeing are people driving with their running lights on (NOT headlights) or cars with burned out taillights.

Aftermarket housings are generally a bit worse for beam pattern; LED replacements vary from a bit worse to much worse. They look great but the beam pattern is bad for traffic around you, and sometimes for peripheral vision as well.

I think the main issue, as pointed out in the article, is that it is alleged that PHEV buyers don’t charge them nearly as often as they should for maximum emissions savings. I’m sure many buyers only get them due to financial incentives or special privileges (i.e. HOV access or central-city access in many European

I’d be very willing to buy a PHEV today if I were in the market for a new car whereas I wouldn’t even consider an EV.  They seem like the best of both worlds without the compromises that EVs have. I’m not sure where all the hate for PHEVs is coming from.

PHEVs are very much what the US needs in the short term. The most environmentally conscious people I know still aren’t willing to get an EV because of the compromises around them. PHEVs solve 90% of the issues without adding any compromises to car ownership. Considering we keep hearing how constrained the battery cell

Whatever, man. My PHEV uses next to zero gas, and i rarely forget to plug it in. It drives great, and i can take it on long trips. Pretty compelling value proposition for me and for the hippies too, whether they choose to admit it or not. Looks like we will just have to keep hearing them complain anyway.

Well put. A lot of people saying JIT is somehow “at fault” here, when all Toyota did was delve further into the practice by analyzing the risk of not getting materials “in time”, and therefore stockpiling more.

That little aircooled 350 produces an impressive 20.2 horsepower and 19 lb-ft of torque.

It’s a whole lot easier to convert a V8 Camaro into a V8 1LE than it is to convert a V6 1LE into a V8 1LE.

PSVR is really made for GT. I still have my FR-S and enjoy driving it in game. I only wish they included the USDM version of the 86. I don’t mind driving from the right side, but it was cool to have my exact car in GT6.

The grenade launcher was my favorite weapon in the game, unless you change the rules to slappers only.

Yeah, the Auto options for climate control has been an amazing invention. My I set it to 70 year round and just use the on/off button as needed in the 2-3 months that aren’t boiling or freezing for me. Never have to touch anything other than that.

I think we’re agreeing to the same points. I have a friend with a 2014 Mustang GT, his car is 1s per mile faster on the track than my 2014 BRZ and we’ve got the same type of modifications, tires, and driver skill levels. The new BRZ should make up nearly all of that difference just based on the hp and torque
