I honestly thought it was an abomination at first, but it eventually grew on me over the years.

A four door Celica would technically be within its canon. If you ever want an easy point or two in Toyota trivia, the Camry was originally a Celica Camry.

“MY HUB’S NOT TOO LOUD, YOU’RE TOO OLD!”

This is my thinking as well. Our energy future should be everything on the table, including modern nuclear plants. The same left-wing people (and I tend to lean left on the political scale) who (rightly) decry right-wingers as anti-science should also look inward with regards to nuclear. The fact that we don’t build

This is such a banal and stupid right-wing talking point. Talk to WV miners to see if they got all their coal jobs back under Dumpy.

I’m a scientist and an environmentalist, and the fact that we’re not building modern reactors all over the place is absolutely mind-boggling. The alternatives suck (dams!) or require a lot of infrastructure that doesn’t exist yet (wind and solar+batteries).

I have a Mark Martin lamp (has the car on it) that probably still exists somewhere in my parents attic

I agree the headlights look a bit weird. But the black roof does work! Fortunately the red tail light lenses seem to look good with the yellow too.

Awesome job, but I think wrapping the top parts of the headlights was a mistake. The car now looks really sorry for itself.

I have this system in my garage. Using it is a physical workout and you get to work on being smooth on the bike. There is no gyro-force pushing you into the seat, when you are leaned over, but I’m a novice track day guy and I don’t notice much a difference when leaned over. The big difference is braking and

I’m pretty into that Evora in the main picture. What about one of those?

This. This is the right answer. Loud, old school, unique.

This is effectively a punitive tax on the poor. Guess who can afford Teslas and new hybrids and stuff? Oh right, well-off people.

I am disappointed in all of you. There is a history of bad decisions here and to reinforce that I submit the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Bonus is that there are probably almost none anywhere near there.

Eh, my logic is this:

“Or at least until gas prices soar and Americans want good, small, fuel-efficient cars again.”

Yes, we had the internet decades ago but we didn’t have algorithms that only feed users content they want to see.

Tesla is just a benefactor of what has, unfortunately, become now commonplace: a strong idolization and worship of culture icons that waivers on becoming a person’s whole identity. See also: our departing president, “mommy bloggers”, stance bros, ad infinitim.

Yeah I’m in the same boat thinking it’s a bandwagon stock for the people that missed out on previous bandwagons. It just doesn’t make sense to me that the guy tweeted on Jan 14 about him making money on stock selling in “early 2021" and accusing him of using his videos to boost Tesla stock and the more complimentary

Boy, I gotta say Peter Thiel really playing the long game on this one.
