I maintain “Why don’t you just get a large, Farva?” I don’t want a Large Farva” is one of the best jokes in that hilarious movie. It kind of flies by but the second you think about it, you realize the genius.

RE: Reverse

This is a real heart over head car, it is in now way worth anything more than the scrap value of its parts, and yet... And yet, it brought a smile to my face just to see it, and that means NP. In defiance of all common sense, this is an NP.

Nailed it. Odd how we never hear conservatives talking about the Military or Police Departments needing to be profitable!

It’s the gift that gives on so many fronts.

You’re right, market based funds with no form of consumer protections in place ARE guaranteed for employees and aren’t just a convenient way to pass a burden on to your employees!

If you machine it down just right, it can be a Porsche 917/20. It's even the right color to be the Pink Pig.

Pre-funding pensions for 75 years is not even close to “sound fiscal policy.” It’s an absolutely insane and asinine rule that no other entity, public or private, has to deal with. It’s a recent rule created by Republicans purely so they can make disengenuous bad faith arguments that the USPS is losing money and should

We’ve had several friends comment on “How did you afford that?”

Private toll roads and private prisons are things, although both exist with permission of the government, and the private prison needs the input of a government agent to house your ass. Depending on the kickbacks and the competence of your legal counsel, you may or may not get a fair shake in that deal. Lawful killing

They only reason private entities can’t do that *because* we have government.

That pre-fund requirement had two purposes. The immediate purpose was to pump a few billion dollars of poorly shepherded money into the market. Wall Street has been devouring pension funds for 30+ years now, as they see it as a large pile of money being wasted. We should assume that the USPS pension fund has been

By the way, this asshole you quote so well probably lives in Bumblefuck, Wyoming about 159 miles from the nearest town and bitches about the USPS (even though fair rates for him should be 20 times higher), bitches about communist Amtrak (even though Amtrak makes a lot of money in the NE corridor and then gives away

“We’ll figure out how to get the money later” is how every single private business expects their employees to save for retirement.

And to be honest is how many private businesses seem to be run.

But hey, keep trying to kill public institutions! Screw everyone, including yourself, in the process!

[raises hand slowly] Um, those turbo intakes look dicey as hell.

They do come with some sidewalls

You should bring that up every time Andrew and David write about driving their old SUVs.

Well, you see it’s has horrible fuel economy and emissions, unlike say, things like an old International Scout, an old Mitsubishi Montero, or a whole fleet of decomposing Jeeps, to randomly bring up some vehicles...

But also without the advantages of a crossover. Shit on them all you want, but there is a lot of utility in a higher seating position and taller roofline.
