Exactly. It doesn’t even have to be an EV.

Neutral: EVs work for those that have charging infrastructure at home (or the ability to add it) or at work, and who never or rarely take long drives. They could be a great city car for a family that has another car and off street parking. You’re comparing the US to Europe, but the markets are the same and the needs

Or Torch’s sliding version skittering from side to side every time you took a corner.

Your tablet or phone is not designed to operate a car. If it lags for 20 seconds or crashes 2x a day because of all the tracking ads it's running, the phone/tablet maker doesn't care. Cars have to be safer than that.

After 10 years a lot of things in a car stop holding quite so fast. Sunshades start to sag, new rattles pop up (maybe they were there from the first week if you own a Subaru...), and everything’s just not as firm as it used to be.

I’m actually okay with tacked on style screens. They tend to be more in line of sight and less glare attracting.

Hey, this is America. We can be stupid in LOTS of different ways at the same time!

And the wheels are just too busy.”

That’s a non- turbo Linear, not an Aero.

But can your wife’s Pilot do a donut? No. Burnout? Nah. Anything cool at all? Nope. There is nothing interesting about accelerating to highway speeds. You are (like so many before you) completely missing the point of the 86/BRZ. It’s not a fast car. It’s a fun car.

Exactly! I don’t know how more than half of these idiots ever got a driver license. They do not know the basics. I still commute by bike most days because my current car (Toyota highlander) sucks, and I usually get everything I’m going quicker on bike. Drivers need education of rules of the road. I’ve been yelled at “

My condolences on your friend’s passing.

bUt ThErE’S a NeW jEeP fuck yeaaah murica !

I don’t think this falls under corner case vs common practice. Drivers have bias, they see cyclists that run stop signs and believe all cyclists run stop signs all the time. We don’t. Cyclists have similar biased views toward drivers.

The availability of high-powered legal weaponry in this country is also stupid and it seems like everyone could have seen the arms race police found themselves in coming a mile away. The entire picture needs deescalation.

Ive not been in the Bronx for a while, but not even that many bikers there, and so many deaths.

Protected bike lanes are really the only way to reduce cyclist injuries and fatalities. The average driver is barely looking out for another car, let alone a cyclist.

I bet this comment section is gonna be a treat.

The greatest con ever conceived was convincing poor people they are just temporarily embarrassed millionaires.  They will always defend their perceived future peer group.

The wealth gap has gotten out of hand.  There needs to be more tax burden on the ultra wealthy and corporations to support the rest of the average people
