“Do they resent that Discovery behind the white Defender on the top level, since they were born without solid axles but rather with numerous suspension parts shared with their three-row sibling?”
Here is a picture from 2015:
My neighbors drink a lot, so maybe?
Definitely fun when they start on the real trails! I don’t think it will be long before they are leaving me behind...
What do you mean clutched drivetrain? I kinda stopped paying attention when we got to 10sp/electronic shifting so I have no experience beyond cable actuated 9/10 speed. What happens if you run out of batteries on the electronic stuff, does it just stay in whatever gear you were on or does it drop to the smallest cog?
Just gets buried in the Changli
1) Your random non-referable anonymous anecdotes aside, wealth generation in this country doesn’t occur because of people saving extensively in their own lifetime. Wealth comes from generational wealth (houses passed down, money invested by a grandparent or parent, trusts, etc.); capital investment from this wealth is…
OK, for 1 almost all of those people became wealthy through either borrowing/stealing other peoples ideas, using the wheels of government to control the markets to their benefit, or were in the right place/right time for their given markets. Hindsight is 20/20 but all of them could have just as easily been forgotten.…
In a consumer driven economy that capitalism needs in order to survive, calling the concentration of wealth into a percent of a percent of the population as suboptimal is an understatement.
Tesla, a financial sham. SpaceX, properly fund NASA instead of letting these asshats fuck it up. PayPal, we’ve all hated using it for a decade and a half now.
yes, I’m sure SpaceX’s 8,000 employees are just there to watch him do everything.
no, applauding this insane concentration of wealth and income disparity just because you like what rich guy does is bootlicking.
Nah, cause he’s a weird asshole who got super lucky to be born wealthy, then lucky again to get in on the dot com boom at the right time, then even luckier that tax credits and carbon credits have been propping up Tesla. SpaceX is the only thing he's done on merit and he's just the money man there.
Yup. We make machines for automotive and we went from building 8+ machines per year to about one since 2016 as duties and crap change daily. Nobody invests into products if these products will get a tariff or retaliatory tariff any day
My first thought was also Tesla as Elon Musk fits the eccentric billionaire. But I’d go with the truck as it fits current US vehicle tastes (being a truck) and the famous “oops” demonstration fits our current time.
I’m named after Devon from Knight Rider, and Elon Musk leads a cult of weird nerds.
No. I will not have the man I am named after (seriously) played by a cult leader.
