Ugh. That’s so obnoxious. Hugs!

This is so fascinating to me. In my community (Orthodox Jewish), the siblings are ALWAYS part of the bridal party. (In my case, they were the bridal party). What are the groomsmen/bridesmaid roles and why wouldn’t sibs be automatically included? Do sibs walk down the aisle if they are not bridesmaids or groomsmen?
I mean, that’s a real thing. My friend who has Celiac got sick when a restaurant (which usually is careful about this) didn’t switch knives. But here, the woman did not actually have an issue, so....
Also, there are rules in the military about how women have to wear their hair (up and tightly secured) they could reasonably enforce that rule, remove the “threat” of her being tugged down by it, and go about their days, no?
My wedding is over, but seeing that strawberry gives me heart palpitations. WHAT IF IT GETS ON THE DRESS? (says the girl who gave serious side eye to the woman who came to say hi carrying a crepe with raspberry sauce).
I nixed a cabbage looking thing in my centerpieces, and I know someone who walked down the aisle holding a lulav and etrog (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_spec…) but that was a nod to her getting married on the relevant Jewish holiday!
Hey! Checking in to see how things are going!
GUYS! I am wearing a veil at my wedding, but this is just an excuse to say that I am wearing it TOMORROW! BECAUSE I AM GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW! WOAH!
I think that that plan about having it at the place at home, makes sense, right? Like, go to some of the places overseas, see if they have it, and then have the woman at home order it. That way, you will be able to try it on for sure, and you’ll only end up getting a different dress if you don’t like it, right? What’s…
That dress is FANTASTIC and I’ve never seen anything like it, which I think is a huge bonus. However, I would caution you on ordering int blind, just because different designers can fit and fall differently on you. If you find a store that carried Demitrios call them and see if they can order a sample for you. Call…
I am! My wedding is in a week and half, but I will totally share in others’ celebrations. First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! Second, it’s going to be amazing! Third, it’s totally fair and reasonable to feel highs and lows especially since you have highs and lows in your life right now and I can’t imagine how tough it is…
I came back to post a photo of the dress, but decided I didn’t want to until after the wedding. So instead here are the flowers she chose after a long back and forth (which thankfully I found funny) in which I thought all her choices were boring and she right mine were hideous. But we both love these!
:-D Oh. This is the best one: She called me at 6:20; I was in a cab rushing to get home before sundown when Sabbath starts at which point I can do NOTHING relevant for 25 hours and says “Hi. Don’t panic, but there’s been a mistake.” Ummmmm. Turns out that the printer messed up the prayer books we ordered, and it’s…
The reason that fake bride can afford to have precious stones as escort cards is because she is only having SIX people at her wedding; I mean it’s so intimate that either couples each get their two cards or there are no couples, and no one needs last names!
I mean, Apostolic Christians also don’t believe ANY civil marriages or other religious marriages are real marriages, so she should either be doign a religion check to hetero couples or be issuing to everyone, and Apostolic Christians DO believe that you should actually follow the laws of the land, so I don’t know what…
Agree. There was someone who didn’t come to my sister’s wedding, who we know was planning on making it since she and my sister communicated about transportation before the wedding. I’m assuming something happened with her (the guest’s) kid. I don’t even know that my sister noticed her absence in the excitement for…
Yeah, this is ridiculous. The caterer I am working with (guys!! I am getting married in 23 days!) actually assumes a few people won’t come and charges for total RSVPs-x. He’s basically the go-to kosher caterer in the area, so he’s basically done weddings for everyone whose there and knows the guest list, so we trust…
My mom does this with e-mails or imessages and it has totally gotten worse with wedding planning. “Did you see the image I just sent you?” “no” “well look, now.” “I can’t because it’s on my phone and you just called me on my phone” (we both have Verizon, so it’s not like her Internet works while on a phone call, and…
This is totally nitpicking but the oldest synagogue is in RI. Maybe this is the oldest continuously operating?
I just sent one to the Obamas! I will report back if I hear back, though I hear it takes a while.
