Teachers don’t get paid to keep up with whatever advancements that might be going on in their field of teaching. They have to pay to go to school, to drive to wherever, to buy supplies, buy their own tech required in their classrooms, etc. Their job is costing them tons of money.

Insurance is a joke. Employer heath

We get paid for professional development. Public K-12 teachers generally don’t unless it’s inservice days.

Read about this over on Wonkette, and holy schamoly. More and more of that ding dang unreliable dossier keeps turning out to be true. I saw this interesting little tweet in the comment section as well:

A head-on assault on teachers for their long summer vacations would “sound tone-deaf when there are dozens of videos and social media posts going viral from teachers about their second jobs [and] having to rely on food pantries”,

Buddy, murders like this really aren’t rare. Though granted most of them aren’t teenagers, but rather domnestic violence victims.

These jabs are great and all, but this motherfucker was still part of the reason Trump won. The whole hand size thing...can dudes stop thinking about their dicks for like 2 seconds?

My heart is so heavy. Men are terrifying. This girl did everything “right” by reporting this monster to the police and getting him arrested. That she died by his hand is just so...I have no words.

Also, if someone does not mean what they write - then why should their writing be published in The Atlantic? How can their writing “add to the diversity of opinion” . . . if they write things that are not their opinion?

I’m so FUCKING TIRED of people insisting that white dudes should get the benefit of the doubt or that they “don’t really mean what they say” at every fucking turn.

He probably does. Looks like the type of guy that would be into auto-erotic asphyxiation.

“soft spot for hanging.”

Arguing that women who have abortions are murderers isn’t a unique point of view, but believing that it is insightful or interesting only speaks to the remove of op-ed pages from communities where this is pretty status quo.

What’s with RWNJs and their facial hair? That goatee is a) 15 years out of style, and b) too damn thick on the sides...trim that shit!

Here’s the sad fact. When you go looking for today’s conservative thought leaders, this is who you find.

I’m okay being divisive against a man who wants to see me hanged.

The OP isn’t arguing for the government to censor Williamson. You know that. Or you don’t understand the Constitution. Probably both.

...liberal readers will hear him out, and, forced to face their own assumptions, evolve to a more enlightened place.

Fuck this racist, misogynistic dude. You don’t get to call for the murder of women because they exercise their legal choice of abortion just to be edgy. Stating your opinions has consequences, the most important of which for a writer should be denial of a platform. Shame on the Atlantic...

Here is why I never had a nanny, an au pair, or a housekeeper: because I cannot afford to pay them what they are worth. When my kids were small, I figured a person would have to earn $30-40k to be able to live decently in my area. I couldn’t afford it, so I dealt with my dirty house and the unrelenting of parenthood.

You’re missing the point. They’re supposed to do a lot of running around. Childcare’s a minor part of the arrangement. If your family wants a nanny, pay appropriately and hire a nanny.
