Daughters. Educating fathers that women are actually human beings since the dawn of time.

At the point you find yourself asking someone, “Are you a boy or a girl?” outside in public in order to decide whether what they’re doing is legal or not, it’s time to change the law.

We can talk about why androgyny often reads masculine (hint: under patriarchy, masculinity is considered the default—“neutral”—while femininity is treated as a variation on masculinity), but “fuck androgyny” is a strong take. I have a hunch that people who feel comfortable more around the middle of the gender spectrum

A lot of my high school friends went to BYU. One girl, was NHS and top of her class in high school. BYU found out she may have hooked up with her boyfriend, while on break and out of the state. They suspended her and then put her on probation. They shamed her both at school and at home.

Also: can we talk about the fact that a fucking plantation is on our currency? Like, an actual goddamn plantation where people lived and died in bondage. What the actual fuck is up with that? “Oh, it’s a beautiful home that Jefferson designed himself.” Yeah, he also enslaved humans there for his economic benefit. Shut

OMG the comments on facebook are already out of hand. “I’M GONNA REJECT $20s FROM NOW ON, NO WAY NO HOW I AIN’T USIN’ THAT.”

“He’s a very typical young man his age”

I get a little teary when I sing the theme song and think about the “Females Are Strong as Hell” line.

Mikey’s nonna was possibly my favorite gag of the season.

I just finished binge-watching the whole season today, and while overall I loved it, the Geisha episode sat very poorly with me. I felt like they fell into all the traps they were trying to commentate on and were super condescending to all the valid complaints people had about casual racism in the first season...

I still have a few more episodes, but do far Tituss’s relationship is so, so, satisfying. They are my favorite couple of the moment. I love how Tituss is just as much of a “project” as Mikey. And Anna Camp is freaking fantastic.

“That the show’s creators have been able to create a show that deals with such heavy content while remaining relatively light-hearted and often laugh-out-loud funny is a true testament to their work.”

I ran track and played basketball through college ( Roanoke College, a D 3 school mind you) so in the relative scheme of the cosmos, I was the greatest athlete that ever lived. And I don’t remember or relate to any of this pseudo, barely concealed homoerotic intercourse talk. We used to.discuss Oscar Wilde and Walt

Gotta pass the time somehow while you’re Dutch ruddering each other.

Let’s not forget: ignoring suicide, perpetuating indentured servitude, forcing out students with mental health issues, and exploiting poor students for diversity stats while failing to offer them adequate financial support.

Who is genuinely surprised? Now universities can add police brutality to their “never happened” list along with rape and sexual harassment. Because image is everything and the students are a mere annoyance.

My (Indian) boyfriend cracks me up because he is constantly being like “Oh, isn’t this that same guy from that other movie we just watched?” when said guys are like 20 years apart in age and look nothing alike. His response is always that white people all look the same, which I can’t *really* argue with.

I’ve always had this problem!! Growing up, I could never tell Leonardo Dicaprio, Mark Wahlberg, and Matt Damon apart. Watching the Departed was a very confusing experience for me...

I have a really hard time with World War II movies that feature a bunch of white guys in uniform. They might as well call all those movies “Which one is he again?”
