OMG, I made the mistake of looking at the comments on Deadspin to the article about a college track star who was arrested for murdering a 13 girl (a liver transplant survivor, no less). Half of them are either cracking jokes or claiming that the 13 year old probably lied about her age or that it’s perfectly reasonable…

The real scandal was how he was able to get away with this for so long and the fact that it usually takes multiple victims before these types of allegations are taken seriously.
