It’s mentioned in the vid, they basically designed it and then went “oh, this is now to big to race” and never built it. This gentleman then went out nearly a 100 years later, hunted for the parts and built it himself.

When I used to work for a VW dealer I used to drive the Transporters all the time for parts delivery and I absolutely loved them. It was perfect to borrow from work when I needed to move.
