Walking or biking to work isn't going to happen. My place of work is 40 miles away. I am not able to live close to work because the area around my employer is affluent and housing is terribly expensive. I currently live in a place now where my utilities are included with the rent, with the exception of internet.

I wish I had an opportunity to save money, but other than my income tax, I have no extra money during the year.

I was just about to post this. I am so glad someone else did already. Alot of people were put off by the world of this movie, but it seemed like a pretty nice place to me, I'd sure as hell love to live there.

100% agreed. But at least it would appear you still have some friends left over, so there's that. I do too, but I lack a facebook account, I got tired of all the BS associated so I deleted it.

Yeah, for the tax-free bit that's a fair point, and it's a smart move.

Google Play is good as far as web based players go, but they need to seriously overhaul that Android app, its been garbage ever since they started making "improvements" to it. Or if Google would allow 3rd parties access to the API.

THIS thread ftw! I thought I was the only one who liked to use WMP for everything. I also think it does a great job for watching movies, esp. ones with subtitles after KLite or Mega Codec packs are installed. Plus, last.fm works pretty well with WMP for those of you who scrobble things, like I do.

Look into Mixzing Media Player. It has both free and paid versions and it allows easy management of files on your phone, and is very light on resources. It's my go to. The ads can be a bit obtrusive in the free version, but they weren't as bad as some other players I encountered.

Yeah, I echo the sentiment of the folks who use it for music library management. Even after deleting old albums I don't listen to anymore, I still have 90+ GBs of stuff, mostly 320k format, and Media Monkey is king of file management. The tag editing feature is superb, esp. the album art option. If I can't find a

Indeed. I don't know why articles like this leave out folks like us who live paycheck to paycheck. Oh wait, nevermind, that's the answer right there.

This assumes you make enough to cover all your basic living expenses. That extra $20 isn't extra to me. I'm barely covering those. If I have an extra $20 with all my expenses deducted from my check it goes to groceries or rent.

I cannot stress the value of finding a good mechanic who is trustworthy nor can I stress even more how much of a pain in the ass it is to find one.

Thanks for this information. I can finally discover if it truly is my FF install or if my crappy laptop needs to be replaced.

Not only that but job hopping itself, regardless of the circumstances and whether or not the employee or employer are to blame, job hopping does indeed reflect negatively on your resume based upon length of time.

Indeed. Fucking HR personnel are the bane of my existence and it's nice to see other folks have similar views to mine or feel the same way I do.

I'm 33 now, and I am glad I grew up in a time before this BS was possible, because you can surely bet that as overprotective as my parents were, and the sheltered childhood I had, I would have had this implanted in me if it was possible to do so, or at the very least my mom would have sewn a GPS chip into my clothes

Normally, I try to steer away from these types of articles, but this one is fairly simple in its approach.

Must be nice to even be able to afford beer to drown your sorrows, because I sure as hell can't. I'm lucky to get a caffeine fix every so often.

Honestly, I feel what you're saying. I'm so broke I can't even afford to treat my mental health, and barely cover my bills and keep a roof over my head and groceries to eat and gas in my car.
