It’s fine, so long as you’re okay with it being inane and nonsensical. Seriously, do you think for five seconds in a society like this, everyone with a robotic face would look not only caucasian, but largely identical as well? Because, if they cannot customize prosthetic faces, that’d be the net result.

1: Without knowing the methodology of that poll, I cannot comment on it. However Captain America #1, which depicted Captain America punching Hitler, was very well received upon launch.

With some degree of customization done, as far as I recall. I rather doubt she didn’t tweak the base appearance to match her self image to some extent.

.....Xenophobic, American, troops.

Bull, crap.

First, citing WW2 era is reaching REALLY far back for an example, and that was a far less divisive issue at the time. Second, the fact that current Captain America comics not only take sides on divisive political issues, but call people who are not on that side, “hateful, bigoted, or misogynist,” is nothing

Uh, so the Major made herself look caucasian on purpose becaaaaauuuse? There’s a lot of negative things that could possibly be inferred about the character from such a plot point, so it’s probably best to avoid it.

Nah, that doesn’t work.

You can cite, “changing demographic trends,” all day long, but when you’re talking about a nation with hundreds of millions of people, then even overtly taking positions against small small demographics is akin to cutting millions of potential customers out of your market.

No, you cannot explain

I’m going to give them a little leeway here, since the guy was a lot more popular at the time, and it was an inauguration. However, that cover was indeed a little excessive and overly-flattering even at the time.

Ugh, this again.

Pretty sure the pope’s not going to play it, as the video itself points out, the Pope doesn’t even own a computer. However, it’s a nice little gesture. Plus I rather do think that if you’re going to choose one game to represent the values you want to put forward as a community, Undertale is probably one of the better

Social activism themed super hero comics. *Siiiiiiighs*

Oh jeeze, I was actually surprised to hear that was out. Goes to show you how good a job they’ve done on the marketing. Granted, I don’t really watch television, but if this was intended as a major picture you’d think I’d hear more about it on the internet.

Doesn’t really explain why a character with a Japanese name, and who was of Japanese nationality in the manga, and anime’s is being played by someone who is clearly not Japanese.

While I tend to be more the, “eh, just leave em be,” sort, here I’ll agree with you. It’s weird when you see fandoms take two children characters, age them up, then put them together. Sometimes it can make sense mind you, but for the most part it feels, odd.

“The main thing we learned [on Batman v Superman] is that people don’t like to see their heroes deconstructed,” said producer Deborah Snyder.

Yea, Undertale fandom is kinda the same way. Actually I’d say most character driven fandoms are like this to some extent. They try to invent details to fill in the little ambiguities, and then extrapolate them outward dramatically. Sometimes it works pretty well, other times you get interpretations that clash

Just the tiniest bit of an Undertale vibe here.

I mean, I really hate saying that since it sounds kinda cliche on the internet. Still, there are some similarities there.

Welp, like I’ve said before. Developers will optimize for the entry level hardware. Since there’s going to be 50+ million PS4's and a ton of XB1's by the time these half-generational refresh consoles come out, they really have no choice.

That means a lot of the horsepower in the new hardware won’t be utilized well, if

Yeah, trust me, this could’ve gone badly. The guy handled it well enough, but probably shouldn’t have stuck around as long as he did. A lot of people tend to underestimate how dangerous bears can be unless they’re grizzly’s. This can be a deadly mistake.
