To be clear, this copy of FFXIV does not contain the upcoming expansion. However, seeing as most players take their time leveling, it’ll be awhile before they hit the point where they have to pay for the expansion in order to continue. By then it’s likely that the expansion will be available for less.

From what I’ve read, it’s been confirmed that Tony Stark will remain Iron Man.

But, I like the old characters. :c

No, my point was that the descriptor, “massive update,” seemed a bit hyperbolic. Seems like a decent sized update, but nothing special considering how long people have been waiting.

Kiiiiinda missing the point there sonny jim.

I was referring to the relaunch, aka A Realm Reborn, aka 2.0.

Mmmm hmm, whatever you say there Tex.

Well FFXIV eases you into it’s battle system fairly slowly, so it’s not difficult to get into. Granted, it can be difficult to, “MASTER,” the systems. However the only content that requires a high degree of mastery is the hardcore eight man raids, and to a lesser extent the Extreme Primals.

Blizzard supposedly times these sorts of patches to correspond to expansions of launches of other MMO’s. It’s their way of attempting to blunt their competition. Honestly, I’d go with FFXIV’s expansion if I were you. I’m admittedly biased, but, nine new zones, numerous new dungeons, the addition of flying mounts, and

Honestly, this patch doesn’t look like anything terribly special.

....Has it really been eight years!? Gadzooks, where does the time go.

Mega Mega?

Again, it goes down as you level up. Second, you get a lot of CD attacks that you pop between GCDs. Third, you clearly have no idea just how hectic combat can get in this game once you get into the harder content.

Ugh, wanna play this game. >_<;;

I’d buy the game solo (already have a Wii U,) but money is tight for me right now. That, and when I do have a little money I need to buy some practical stuff, like paying to get my transportation fixed. :P

Yeeeeeaah, I heard they were bad. There’s a reason why they nerfed them before most players had even made it to Twintania. XD

Wow stats center around exponential growth. Health, and damage output grew a LOT faster in WOW.

I never faucet Twin before they reworked the twisters mechanic, so I couldn’t say.

Backwards compatability was fated to end with the Wii U sadly. Just looking at the Wii U’s architecture it’s clear that they both bent over backwards and largely hampered themselves to keep backwards compatability going.

No, 130 armor will only last until about halfway into the expansions main story.
