Made sense, but felt poorly executed. The fact that Thor had to explain what it all meant to the audience meant that the scene failed one of the basic rules of Storytelling. Specifically, “Show, don’t tell.”

Okay, saying that you need to watch a ton of other films to be caught up and ready for Avengers 2 is, wrong, I’m sorry. Between Avengers and Avengers 2 only three films are relevant. Iron Man 3, “barely,” Thor 2, “barely,” and Captain America 2. I’d list Guardians, but aside from some setting lore it has no overlap…
Aaaand you guys just reminded me why I can’t stand the mobile market. It’s a shame, because in theory smart phones should be a great platform. As long as it’s dominated by cloneware and games that try to ravage my wallet with micro transactions however, it won’t be worth my time.
Really? People have had to wait THAT long for a significant content update?!
In theory I have no issue with the concept of paid mods. If it funnels some funds to people who are contributing to the community that can only be a good thing.
*Sigh*
I would not say that bacterial level life automatically disqualifies Mars for terraforming. Assuming our chances of successfully terraforming that planet is good, the value in creating more living space for humans would trump any moral obligations we might have to bacterial life.
These things still aren’t funny. Okay the first few were; but the joke was never that clever or that funny. So repeating the same gag over and over doesn’t really work.
Yeeeeeah, I read the synopsis and was kinda disappointed with how they handled Frieza. They just give too many reasons right off the bat to, “not,” feel any tension from the confrontation. That sorta cheapens things.
So, they’re copying Airship building from FFXIV? Okay granted, that feature hasn’t been implemented yet; it’ll come with the expansion in two months. Still, the XIV devs have been talking about building Airships for a LONG time.
Namco has tried long and hard to create popular mascot characters. Yet, they keep coming back to PacMan, who hasn’t really been all that culturally relevant since the early 80s.
Because Namco seems to hate him for some reason.
Never gonna happen, but, Klonoa.
Game fly is soooooo slow though. Nice concept, but the implementation seems flawed.
What I’m arguing, is that games have to stand out in some visible way to get noticed. If you look at a game for several minutes, and it looks and feels like dozens of other games, how is it going to get noticed?
Gameplay, artstyle, narrative, and mechanics, can be polished and expanded, without rendering the game a bland and boring. I might add, that most good games polish on previously established features, “while simultaneously,” working at ways to prevent a game from feeling stale and samey.
You can get an idea for a games narrative from a trailer video, you can’t get a good idea of how well the gameplay is constructed from the same videos. Similar, “novel mechanics,” can be explained in videos or advertisements, though the best novel mechanics are the ones that need no description. Either way, games are…
Yeah, except that to filter games out in that matter, you must first, “play them.” That’s a non-starter, there aren’t even demo’s available for a good large portion of games released these days, and you can’t expect people to buy each and every single game to evaluate how well constructed a game is.
No, no originally really isn’t over-rated.
