Weird as this is going to be, I’m going to hop in here for a small detail. God didn’t kill Onan for spilling his seed while masturbating. He killed Onan for spilling his seed by pulling out of his brother, Er’s, wife before he impregnated her, violating an Old Covenant law known as levirate marriage and directly

I wish they would be more even handed with their closures though. Within the last six months I’ve gone from having several viable GameStops within an hour’s drive to none within my county or any of the adjacent counties. Which is an area that includes Rochester, NY which is definitely a large enough city to have at

You probably would.  Every interaction I have ever had with Nintendo customer support has been a good experience.  It is one of the things they seem to have always handled very well.

I see people mention the absence of Grant DaNasty and I mean I get that, but as much as I love this show my question has always been where is Death? Like Death is a major player in every game in the series and in its mythology, and has kind of always been the right hand man to Dracula himself, so Death’s absence has

In a way I also get it from the perspective that if they want to branch this in to the greater mythology of the series Grant is just kind of not important. Literally all of the other characters or their bloodline appear in later games. Grant DaNasty basically disappears from the series’s history once his part in

Jet fuel is mostly kerosene.  It’s not really that hard to get ahold of.

Excuse me, but you definitely forgot the most important part of that process.

To be fair, Anno-sensei is somewhat unreliable in his interpretations of his own characters, because by the back half of the series he was so depressed he was literally writing an episode and handing it to animation barely in time to make air dates. most of the deep psychological stuff was thrown in at the last

They did it with OoT and Majora’s, as many people have mentioned below. They also did it with Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass (and distantly with carrying over a character or two for Spirit Tracks). Also with the original Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link (same Link, 6 or so years older). And played as

Tellah, Palom, and Porom definitely.  But what really messed me up was Galuf in V. Not only was it a gut punch in the middle of what was a very sardonically toned game, but the fact that the rest of the party actually does try EVERYTHING they have to prevent it from happening and bring him back.  Oh man the feels.

I always assumed there was a level of willingness or acceptanceon Aerith’s part of her death. Final Fantasies before VII demonstrated that there are situations that make Raise/Phoenix Down fail, and the character being willing to die is one of them. She didn’t make any effort to defend herself when it was Cloud who

So I am familiar with this Game Theory, and while compelling it is inaccurate. All of the things that can be chalked up to “graphics at the time” and “wanting a certain rating” aside, it has been confirmed by Square-Enix via more than one source that Aerith died from the wounds Sephiroth inflicted, before Cloud laid

I’m going to go with that they at least didn’t give Pikachu human teeth. Also, all indications are that in-universe the Ryan Reynolds voice is some kind of psychic hallucination the main human character has when talking to Detective Pikachu, and that Detective Pikachu sounds like a normal Pikachu to everyone else. I

To be fair, unlike many other traditional monarchies that have pretenders due to dynastic changes in the ruling family, there isn’t really another option for the Japanese imperial throne. The only imperial family is the Yamato dynasty, and there has never been another one in the 1500 years since the first confirmed

I also tried to point out when people say something about XIV having three healers to now 10 DPS that XI only really has 1 healer, which is White Mage because if you’re a healer you’re either WHM or something else/WHM, and something like 17 DPS.  So really it could be a LOT worse.

I said something similar above to another comment. I am just trying to address the somehow widespread idea that Dancer is meant to be a healer, when the series has generally presented the class as somewhere on a sliding scale between DPS and buff/debuff support.

While I was going to be happy with Dancer no matter what they did with it in XIV, throughout the series it is typically a DPS class with debuff/buff flavor depending on the particular game. Even in XI where it CAN heal, it’s still primarily a DPS-buff/debuff support class, and the endgame subclasses all try to tilt

I honestly hope they’re saving whip for an eventually Beastmaster class to be added.

I’m super excited about it regardless. I really wanted dancer, and while I do love FFXI healdancing, I’ve been wanting a repeat of the absolute awesome that was the Tactics version of “screw you” DPS and debuffing.

Dancer being a healer in the series is relatively new though (think XI on).  Before that they were mostly DPS.  In Tactics they were even ranged DPS.
