I think Bioware or Lucasfilm mentioned a few months back that it isn’t anymore. Also it was not really a reboot but more a trimming; the 6 movies and Clone Wars cartoon are still unchanged. I guess the EU is rebooted technically. Disney wouldn’t care anyway, it was Lucasfilm that decided to do it. Probably because…
As a long time FF fan, i wanted to like FFXIV. The game mechanics are fine. But the story is just so very boring. And even though i never particularly liked Star Wars i could still play SWTOR for much longer than FFXIV.
Spoken like someone who’s never played it before. You can play the vast majority of the quests in game by yourself, treating it like a single-player KOTOR experience, and come away satisfied.
It’s not early access. It’s not a preview. It’s a beta test plain and simple. That’s why there was a separate opt-in with separate instructions and conditions. A lot of people don’t seem to get that. Yes there were a lot of bugs and some of them incredibly annoying, but that’s part of the deal. They needed people to…
A lot of people are going to be very happy with the new UI. It can take a little getting used to, but it’s 100% faster, and in some cases 500% faster. The design is pleasing and simple to use and simple tasks such as loading a person’s profile, or opening party chat, or even navigating television is vastly improved.
Really hope Red Dead Redemption ends up on that list. I also hope they let me hide things in my games and apps ‘ready to download’ screen again when this new dashboard gets out of preview. It was kind of weird that they removed that option. Now it's clustered with demos and betas I will never play again.
It looks like the early strategy is “buy a new game in our franchise and we’ll give you the old ones for FREE”. In addition to Fallout 4 coming with Fallout 3, it appears that the new Just Cause is coming with the old ones and the same for the new Rainbow Six. So publishers seem to be more on-on-board with backward…
Had this for a little while now. I can say with confidence that it’s quite an improvement over the previous dashboard. A lot of quick button prompts take you where you want. Seeing friends and making parties is really easy and it trimmed a lot of fat. Settings, for example, is no longer an app. Its just the settings.
I personally love the new dash, my next big thing I am excited for is getting to try out Cortana.
Microsoft just announced that both the “New Xbox One Experience” (ie, a new dashboard) and limited Xbox 360 backwards compatibility will start rolling out to all Xbox One consoles on November 12.
Don’t agree? Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
In anime and Hollywood movies, you’ll see it: Characters who don’t know how ears work.
sauce:
It’s good to see Guitar Hero dump the drums/microphone and go back to where it belongs. Leave the band experience to Rock Band.
Well each track has its own set of audience reactions, with different real-world bands playing the different songs. And again the single-player mode is pretty limited, another reason for the focus on TV post launch.
If my fans looked like that, I’d take an early retirement. And a career change.
They need to stop this crap with releasing all the games for Q4.
Same except for Xbox360 instead of PS4.
