Yes! I played my Warlock main a couple days back and was trying to do that one. I even tried cherry-picking the Devil’s Lair (for the ambush fight) since you can nuke a doorway with the Nova Vortex variant (lasting AE) placed out. Doing it with randoms they fought the Vortex for kills, and I’d end up with 4-5 Orbs

I do just fine in PvE, co-op games, and some other games’ PvP components where teamwork is managed with random people, but not many randoms in Destiny use a mic, and none of my friend circles are expansive enough that there’s more than 1-2 other people on at a time, and they’re typically in a full Fireteam with their

Overworld kills count as long as you’ve joined a Strike mission? I figured it would only allow in the Darkness areas where it’s instanced per Fireteam/solo player (in the case of Story missions).

Are all the steps Crucible-focused, though? “Path of the Voidwalker” implies Subclass quest, which I hope only has a few PvP steps in.

But it’s a class quest, which the RPGer in me feels compelled to follow, since I assume most steps are more generic. I understand for the PvP-centric questlines, which I only picked up because I pulled up my britches and PvPed last night (did fairly well with friends).

I’ll give that a shot when I’ve leveled the subclass tree enough. I skipped it initially, as it was my third character and had the choice of both subclasses at creation. Then when I hit 25 after TK (I hadn’t played Destiny much the past 7 months) I swapped to Nightstalker for PvE. I enjoy playing support/crowd control

Well, I did rock a couple of my half-dozen matches with a group of 2-3 friends last night (people dropped in/out) that I hadn’t played Destiny with before. We stuck in pairs or 1/3 depending on match type, and I got some progress on my Void Melee quest step on my Warlock. Also got a couple achievements, which never

Sounds about right. An extra source of income for Gunsmith rep, since there’s nothing much to do apart from test guns otherwise. And that leads to rep level-based quests.

Is anyone else disappointed that many of the class quests in the new system require you to be awesome at PvP? 15 Throwing Knife kills in Crucible for step 1 of a Hunter quest. Similar for Titan and Warlock, though I don’t remember specifics.

As a person with no iDevice or Android, I missed out on Black Flag’s app, which was disappointing. It made the ship-management section kinda useless unless I played every day. I think I only got about 20% through that stuff.

No, as far as I can tell the only vehicles/characters you get are the ones you physically have. It’s a change-up from the old formula, where you spend 85% of your time in the game running around finding characters to buy with studs and replaying levels for minikits. Instead, they focused on more levels and more stuff

Honestly, I hate parents like Kat’s husband, and that’s a strong word from me. “So what if this game is M-rated? The kid’s not PLAYING it so it’s fine, right?” (imaginary defensive response quotes, not real quotes)

I liked it, but didn’t love it. Played 1 and 2 through once each and was amused, but didn’t get swallowed into the whole sub-culture that salivates over it.

Yeah, it’s not walking so much as wiggling and experiencing a bit of Brownian motion as a result.

I think the problem is that everyone takes their personal preference and projects it as a universal truth. Instead of saying “Xbox doesn’t suit my taste” it’s “Xbox sucks”. Instead of “I like the nostalgia-factor and some of the unique gameplay mechanics Nintendo offers,” it’s “Wii U is the best in the world, period,

I love how everyone piles into every LEGO Dimensions article to say how much they don’t like it. Is that what defines a gamer these days? We have to follow every brand, game genre, style or company that we hate and share the hate?

It’s a pretty neat system, actually. Vehicles get their own entire upgrade area with a three-tier tree. There are cosmetic things like new skins, changing the colour of your vehicle shots, trail or exhaust. But you can also buy power or ability upgrades. Buying 10 in the first tree unlocks the second form of the

Only $10 more in Canada for the base game, $109.99. The addon kits are the same as USD.

Yeah, extra characters will be needed to get all the minikits for sure. I found a Portal-gun puzzle for Chell in a main game level that gave me a minikit. The base game has a menu area where you can look at each character’s abilities, as well as a little preview video showing their abilities and associated hub world

I’ll have to take a deeper look, but a lot of minikits require additional characters. But you can play through the main story with the three you’re given, who have a wide breadth of abilities. There looks to be a lot to do; this isn’t your typical Lego game that you burn through in one 5-hour sitting. I was playing
