So what you're saying is that no game developers ever optimize their games per platform? They just create one game and copy-paste to each other platform as-is? Or are you claiming I said that the consoles have 100% unique non-PC components?

Everyone harps on backwards compatibility like it's some dead-easy thing to just "drop into" a console. Console games are built with a specific hardware and software architecture in mind, and emulating those environment on a more powerful machine isn't always easy.

You don't play the console war, you just call all the consoles shit and call the PC the master race.

Yeah... so many of these comics require you to immediately understand the context, game and why the joke will be funny. Not having played many Nintendo games since the SNES days, nor enjoying MOBAs, tournaments or card games kind of leaves me clueless on half the comics we get.

Basically, if a blue spy turns on their illusion form, the blue team sees him as a blue spy with a paper mask on of a red team class' face. The red team sees them as a red team (whichever class is on the mask.)

Not to mention as a parent, I would never let my kids anywhere near other online players' communication. At least games like this that force you to certain phrases are kid-friendly and a good middle ground between allowing communication and keeping it clean for the young kids.

Looks like my taskbar, too. Different browsers tend to render spaces differently if you're not careful, especially tables.

I wasn't trying to imply it was a guarantee or anything, sorry if it came off that way. I just meant that the general rule is thus, so the unknown cop intruder situation should be rare.

I'm not sure about the SWAT team, but police services MUST announce themselves before firing a round. Heck, before even knocking at/breaking down the door, I think. So if you got shot for defending your home against un-announced cops, they'd be at fault. If they announced themselves and your music was just too damn

Please, kids, stop doing crap like this. Best case scenario, you waste everyone's time and cost the public tax money while you sit staring at your computer screen, slowly stroking at how amazingly awesome you are. Worst case, you end up in jail for fraudulent use of emergency services, or every job you apply for does

Oh, so you're trolling. I'm not "butthurt," I'm annoyed that you fail so badly at conversation. You're saying I've taken a side and ignore everything Microsoft does wrong, when I've done nothing of the sort. And no matter what I say, your only response is "Microsoft does it too!"

I dabbled with it a bit, and it's fairly enjoyable. There's a lot of crafting available; less than Minecraft, but more than DayZ and its ilk. You can create storage boxes, barricades, entire houses if you find the right stuff.

You can turn off friendly fire in the server settings. Won't stop griefing behaviour, but it's there.

I got hired once as a software developer in a firm with 20+ developers, 5 system/network admins, and the usual support staff and everyone had pirated copies of everything. Visual Studio, Windows, Office, Photoshop... All it takes is MSDN certification to get free copies of most of their stuff, but instead of paying to

I don't see the gigantic deal everyone's making over this. You can already build and create Xbox One games on your PC. The only thing this unlock does is let you test the game on the console instead of your PC.

People seem confused about the "passive multiplayer" component. Now this is purely speculation on my part, not official anything. There are two ways I can see it playing out.

And again, you gloss over the key part of what I was saying. It's not the timeframe, it's the amount of content included. Most times it's tiny content that has no bearing. This time, it's implied that it's significant content over a prolonged period.

Right... wow, blinders much? You keep re-harping on the "fact" that I'm claiming it's okay for Microsoft to pull exclusive deals. I'm still not seeing it, though. So what exactly are you trying to say?

Work on your reading comprehension.

... my Xbox One instantly resumes the last game I was playing after I've shut it off. But that's nowhere NEAR the Wii U's ability to instantly resume the last game I was playing after I've shut it off!
