I definitely see "unfortunate" but unfortunately I've missed the "brilliant." The only two I liked were 12 and 13, and I'm pretty sure my mom owned 12 in the late 70's-early 80's and 13 is just not exciting enough for me to call brilliant.

I've taken to changing into a cotton sundress the minute I get home. The bra goes flying, but I still wear lipstick.

That beats my concussion stories! It's hard to compete with flying monkeys.

Interfaith marriages are pretty common in my circle of family and friends. It does seem to help if both parties are laid back about their religions and respectful of others' beliefs. (Had an uncle by marriage who was uber-Christian and thought Catholics were agents of Satan. That one didn't go so well.)

"Selphyl" - pronounced somewhat like "self fill"?

If you have to promote womens' welfare by taking away their choices, please consider you might be doing it wrong.

@1point21gigawatts: Well, if we've learned nothing else from this season, we now know that Eric and Pam could probably stop, drop and roll themselves and heal the next day.

@AmosTrue: Ha! Okay, as a non-reader-of-the-books, that's pretty funny to know.

Sookie and Eric need to talk, STAT!

@AmosTrue: Made a lot of sense to me, actually, that he was a procurer of people. Hasn't it sort-of been implied that he's currently procuring Sookie for Sophie-Anne?

@rather be a geek than your groupie: I used to get these all the time. They'd shatter and fall out, first one and then all of them. They seemed to recur particularly in times of stress, when I was trying to juggle too many things at once and it all seemed tied up somehow with control issues.

@Arachnophile: LOL - I have the opposite issue. A cousin (who's more like a sister to me) frequently dreams I'm angry at her for things she does in her dreams (and wakes up still thinking I'm angry at her). It confused me a great deal, because she's one of the few people in this world who can't seem to piss me off

@randomnessish: The uncertainty and cost of recent and upcoming vehicle repairs is bleeding you? Or is that just me?

Sometimes I like hearing about people's dreams - depending on who's doing the telling. Now that I think of it, it's usually from people who've done some writing - maybe because they know not to pass on the uninteresting stuff.

@Dirk Anger: @StephenFS: Well, to be honest, there are different varieties or cultivars of the tea plant as well, so you weren't entirely wrong. Pu erh in particular is generally only picked from a broad-leafed wild tea trees (thought to be the original, undomesticated version). It's unlikely that anyone would

@jofacem: I thought it was a fancy G for most of my life.

I do think it's a mistake for us to call some of these murders "honor killings" just because the victims and accused are Muslims.

@FormerEnglishMajor: It annoyed me to ask in my one foray into clothing sales. It was mandated that we ask and we had sign up goals. I actually was scolded a few times for not asking/not signing anyone up, but my managers liked me, I worked efficiently and I did tend to sell a lot of clothing (I have the eye for

The most bizarre one by far happened when I was out playing darts in a dive bar with two (male) friends. I was putting on a coat to leave when this guy came up to me and and said:
