Oh dear... I love these blogs - in moderation. I could almost be one of those people. I definitely the type to put flowers in mason jars or vintage vaseline glass pieces or whatnot. I make jewelry and bath items, have a serious thrift shop habit, and I'm slowly learning how to refinish wooden furniture.

@laurasaurus: Honestly, I've been keeping an eye out for ANY unapproved pro-Baio comments since I saw that claim (I went through all the previous posts at that time) and I didn't see any. Which means to me that they didn't even bother trying to post something before deciding that Jezebel doesn't allow the expression

@Penny: I thought that might be what happened so I looked around the Baio tweetbeat posts for random unapproved comments lurking about that might be from that pair or their supporters. I'm actually kind of disappointed that I didn't find any.

Either I missed the part where Gawker Media became a government entity/actor or a certain actor missed the entire point of the Bill of Rights.

@TheUnicornQueen: I don't know. I'd go for odd/"interesting" over pretty. I have always been elfin/fey looking, but there were certainly truly bad haircuts, coke-bottle glasses and braces too. So I don't think I was particularly pretty or not-pretty; I was largely nonthreatening.

I respected but never fully understood trigger warnings until something triggered me and I spent the next week and a half an emotional mess while recovering from it.

I think the more we blur the lines where nerdiness meets mainstream, the better.

@SomeTameGazelle: The standard is not flats. It's generally black pumps with ~two-inch heels. (If you're me, four, but I cheat.)

A lot of these tips are aimed at interview situations (formal) or for litigation in front of a jury (formal/calculated). The rules are a lot more relaxed when there's no jury to concern yourself about. I do see pony tails, boots and dresses with appropriate jackets, even in federal court for motions (mind you, the

@cmdtacos: Functional definitely is on a spectrum.

It also randomly throws me out of fullscreen mode on Hulu 100% more often.

Eh, my experience is that people fall on a spectrum between money people and objects people. I'm definitely an objects person. I like "stuff" - like holding it, like knowing its history, etc. It's a tactile reminder of things that make me happy, people I love(d), or even what was happening and who I was with when I

@Blackagar Boltagon: Aha - I was just going to say that some of these seemed familiar and most seemed... deliberate.

Here's some equally valid "math" to ponder:

@BethanyAnderson: I have an acquaintance who was the head on one of their houses, and it's a special quick-drying concrete they use that allows them to do that. He said it blew his mind. Also, it was quite expensive and something of a pain.

@unmoldednicole: It doesn't seem to hurt the relationship when it's mutual, I think. Then it becomes more of a game.

My sister and I steal each other's stuff all the time. I should be above it, because I am the elder and a grown up and all of that... but no. It's just not going to happen. At least we're generally open about our thievery.

@Peppermint: Whereas when I watch Babylon 5 on Hulu, I get ads for Rogaine.

@MrPipeline: @trikota: Sorry. All's far in pie and war.

Little known fact: Graham crackers were named after a fellow who tried to create a special diet to cure the dread fever of lust. Key Lime Pie has a graham cracker crust.
