@Erda on Ice: I suspect her hair is like mine, which can appear to change color dramatically from shades of blonde to brown to red depending on the lighting conditions, etc. There was a post about hair like that here awhile back.

I don't know, the people I know with the worst handwriting are usually lawyers, doctors or professors, so I do not associate bad handwriting with "bad ideas, poor thinking, sloppy habits, and failure" - nor do I really know of anyone who does. Sounds like someone's selling some eighty year-old stereotypes, there.

@booboolee: Address both individuals.

This looks freaking awesome, although I would guess that Helena Bonham Carter will be portraying the Queen of Hearts, not the Red Queen (of the chess match). Still, I can't wait. I was telling someone just last week how much I loved the old TV movie version.

@Ken Green: I should've known Dick Cheney was behind this.

@DorothyBarker: "Fat" or scrawny. Scrawny girls are ugly too according to these assholes.

This is the very essence of sophistry. It sounds totally plausible until you think about it.

@Eriu: What she said, pretty much. It doesn't always (or often) wave the way you'd want it to. The pre-ruffled sex look IS easy for me, but not one I really want to go around sporting all the time.

@mbprice: Oh dear. Unfortunately, I have been following the etiquette advice of one Helen L. Roberts in her 1913 edition of Putnam's Handbook of Etiquette: A Cyclopedia of Social Usage, Giving Manners and Customs of the Twentieth Century, and therefore I must address you as I would any American citizen. @ellaesther: Yes, Tehran looks gorgeous, and I wish Iran's people peace and self-determination. I have awe for them and what they're doing right now.

@WashingMyHair: My problem with that is the same, actually - that just because someone is accused of a heinous crime does not mean that they are guilty of it, and until they are proved guilty, they have certain rights. I think it's a dangerous thing the way people treat an accusation like a conviction, and the

I can't help thinking, looking at that picture, what a kickass public art sculpture that would be.

Perhaps this is a silly question, but why wouldn't you draw the map on the inside of the notebook, on a page? That way you can have more than one map per moleskine.

@LaFemme: I'm okay with make-up application, too, actually, if it's set up as more of a fun thing, or a tips and tricks session.

He hasn't been convicted yet. He's out on bail, yes, but under house arrest and monitored with an ankle bracelet - he won't be roaming the streets. The court also gave him a psychiatric evaluation before releasing him and found that he's no immediate danger to himself or others. Whether statistics suggest that

Wow, I really dislike this spread. She looks vain, cold and aloof in these pictures, almost as if she was annoyed by the fact that she has children and is actively trying to ignore them. Cruel, inhuman.

@DionneFonzie: I see two. That's hardly every, and not really enough to get all up in arms about, IMHO. And comparisons are sort-of inevitable.
