I just had two gorgeous purses arrive in the mail tonight from Etsy sellers. I've bought shirts, prints, ACEOs, vintage shoes... I'm sure that's not the end of it, either. I think everyone else managed to cover why Etsy rocks - I'm just chiming in.

@dichotomy: Not in my book, no, but that might just be because I am not as pretty as she is, and therefore I must be eating out my own liver in envy. Or something like that.

Wow - someone's parents didn't teach her manners.

Nope, I'm not cool with people who threaten to kill others and am even less cool with people who actually attempt it.

@schweppes: From what I'm reading it appears she is attempting to bring a civil suit against Halliburton and KBR, not the DoJ.

@Thanatos: I found this online a few days ago - sorry, I don't recall from where, but if I find, I will post - and it sends them straight to the trash:

@BlondeGoddess: Don't forget the naked legs of tables, chairs and pianos. The hussies.

Just women? And "That punishment increases if the person exposes themselves to a child under 14 with up to a year in jail and £3,000 fine."? Not a cool law, IMHO. I hope it ends up getting tossed out.

Complete and utter logic fail. (I'd almost like to send it in to those

@bluebears: As am I. Of course Boing Boing's going to take that perspective, given where Cory Doctorow stands on IP rights in general, but that doesn't mean he's wrong. The next logical step from his prediction is it's going to make clothing very expensive.

"Musty from being stored in someone's basement" - I love that smell, no lie.

You can also make fake french cuffs by sewing two buttons together, but this looks surprisingly good.

Sounds a little like one of my great grandmothers - she was a wild thing - beautiful, married well, had two kids, then a divorce, then four (at least) more husbands. She had a hell of a temper and a pitching arm that was probably wasted (was reputed to have once thrown an old-school vacuum cleaner clear across a

@FurrierAndIves: People are always proposing to extend the time. Personally, I'd probably be opposed to that - I'm generally of the opinion that we should shorten it from what it currently is. It's not like the kids have the same personal stake in a work that its author did, and I don't see why the grandchildren
