Well, to some extent this is a natural human reaction and should be taken as a compliment by the author that she or he created a work that lives on in the imagination of its readers. @lilliputzian: Many of the men of my acquaintance are horrible gossips, and much more efficient at it than the women. I was surprised by this at first, I'll admit, but now I think it's fascinating and endearing.

I used the band-aid thing a lot when I did ballet, actually. It wasn't perfect, but it did the job.

@syneblue: As far as I recall, the blue they used for Mary which came to be associated with her was an extremely expensive pigment, so they saved it for the important figures.

I wonder what ingredient bubble baths causes the UTI problem? The fragrance? The soap? (I make bath supplies for friends and family, and I'd hate to be handing out UTIs along with them).

The other odd thing is that cat a lot of people with cat allergies can get used to the particular cat and not have an allergic reaction to it anymore. That's been how it is with my family, at least.
