The UI is absolutely killing me. Pressing M to open the map, only to find that you have to press Escape once (and have a slight delay) to get back to the main menu screen, then press Escape once again to get back to the game.

You can say that again. They really should have led off with combat to show off the new movement system, then followed up with the narrative- and world-building.

Can we all just be honest with ourselves and admit this game looks like horse shit? Bioware is a pale imitation of what it once was. They haven’t put out a great game since Mass Effect 2. The fact they get so much unwarranted good will makes no sense to me.

Well sorta. I think that calling race a modern construction ignores a pretty universal process. America has its constructions, Europe another set and North Korea yet another. The difference between Croat and Serb is largely incomprehensible to most people, but in Yugocrazya it was a letter of life and death.

I think the social construct is the idea that race is a social construct. I think you’ll find that everybody throughout time has has had ideas about Us and Them, but they change periodically. For example, there is an ethnicity called Hispanic that seems to exist just in the U.S., but some people are trying to evict…
