Not to sound contrarian just because, but I don’t think the bar is that high at all. FCA hasn’t done anything to advance the performance or utility of the Wrangler. They added 2 extra doors so the kiddos can ride along to Starbucks, which is where these things are most at home nowadays.

We have 1,400 engineers and about 6,000 sales, finance, logistics and support personnel compared to 40,000 assembly workers in the company I work for. I get your point, and I empathize as one of those non-factory workers, but 40,000 is a bigger number than 7,400.

As an employee of a manufacturer that works with suppliers, yes sortof. I’m sure no one would expect a supplier to relocate a home office, but manufacture and distribution of components does tend to locate near the assembly plant. Why does sluttyness need to be cured?

“Low skill” manufacturing jobs are the jobs that have been the backbone of just about every strong economy since the industrial revolution.

He’s damn near restored the economy already and hasn’t even started his first term.

The retrain argument has been proven to be bologna. Retrain people to do what? Work on the robots that build cars? So they have to move to Mexico to use that new training?

But I’m greyed so I guess I just waste my time participating in the discussion here.

I see a lot of comments to this story that seem to follow the same basic premise; it’s barbaric to have to work as hard and long as the employees in this video and only the unions can protect us from this in the US.

in my state its 10 years or newer too, just like RDGJR said. Source is Uber’s own website.

You said you would tell me what this Waymo is going to do. You didn’t. More click bait when it isn’t necessary. How about “Here’s what Waymo wont do, sell.”
