Start at executive compensation. How many vehicles does GM have to sell to pay for Mary Barra alone? 22,000! At $650 profit each, that's what her $14.4 Million for 2014 will cost. Is one executive really worth 22,000 cars per year?

Perfect image for the day. I'll be using this as my Desktop as well, just for today, if that's ok.
Of course you do realize the Toyota Tundra and Honda Ridgeline are only made in good 'ol Murica, right? And you do realize that Ram, GMC and Chevy trucks are made, well, around 'Murica, right?
Sorry Tyler, I have to side with 'G' and 'GookyJ' on this one. I spent 8 years on the ground, a decent part of that with forward controllers and later in the TOC, and I never heard it referred to as a "Viper". I got out in 2003, so my perspective is a bit dated, but I'd have to agree that the "Viper" moniker is more…

While it's true the corn we put in cars isn't exactly the same corn we eat, it takes up the same land, and it trades in the commodities markets the same, and it's decimating the midwest. Crop rotation has ceased to happen because farmers are just planting corn. The ground is being depleted, water is being wasted,…
I'd be ok with this.
Not only is this a traffic law, but why would we want to remove speed limits? I have kids, and I don't want them smeared 500 meters down the road because some moron in the neighborhood is trying to hit 88mph in his stainless steel painted Chevette. And who on Earth needs to go 120 on the highway? The reason we have…
So you don't like his music. Don't listen to it, problem solved. Unless you have the cash laying around to buy cars like this, be happy people like him does, or they go away. I can't stand the inbred, conceited, megalomaniac oil sheikhs that fund terrorism and basically every other vile act on earth. But the only…
I feel your pain, and partly agree. I propose and amendment to your recommendation. Make all passenger vehicles follow the same CAFE standards. As it is now, passenger cars are mandated to meet the 55mpg standard by 2025, but light trucks are excluded. What's considered a light truck is more than half of the…
You couldn't tell your tire was going flat? Seriously?
Not really. You bought your car from a dealer, not GM. Not arguing that the experience wasn't better. Honestly can't imagine how great it would be to not have to sit in a dealership all day for the privilege of giving them money. But the diagram shows the customer buying from the manufacturer, like Tesla has been…
I want one. Please tell me they are actually for sale somewhere.
Meatheads that drive this crap on the roads is why no one feels safe in a normal sized car anymore.
Then why bring it up?

You seem to have developed a pattern of telling people how you doubt they know as much as you think you do, but I doubt you've noticed this. But it makes it easy to blow you off, if you didn't know that.
Seriously, when is the last time anyone here wrote a letter and mailed it anyway? Other than Amazon and junk mail, I don't have anything delivered. And UPS or FedEx can handle my Amazon orders.
And they would probably make you use their gas stations by changing to a rectangle gas cap. And every new model would look exactly the same as the last one, plus maybe an extra cup holder in the trunk. They would only come in black and white, ever. The front glass would crack the first bug you hit.
When a bad decision or poorly delivered policy change can cost billions, a few million seems pretty insignificant. And when that CEO is thrown into a shitstorm like Barra was, and manages to come out making GM look to the majority of the world like they have a plan, it all the sudden seems like a bargain.
