Uh...no shit. What I mean is that real life sex does not have to be abusive, and I don’t see why sex in porn has to be abusive either. While I have not witnessed a porn shoot, I see absolutely no reason why violence and lack of consent would be an essential ingredient.

That’s a good point, and I think the answer is that it would change if the actors organized and pushed for change. These two actors sharing their story is part of what pushing for change looks like. It sounds idealistic but it’s certainly not impossible. Workers in other industries have done it.
