Pits were bred to fight and kill the weak. If you have one, Lord help you if you get a major illness. They attack the weak. Any "Loyalty" goes right out of the window.

Boxers also used to be bred as fighting/aggressive dogs. You can change a dog's temperament in a very small amount of breedings, when you are breeding for specific traits.

Before they were bred to kill, yes they were.

Very true. We as humans made them this way. They are tools to us, for sure. And it's sad to see when they behave like we don't want them to, we blame the owners. IDK how many "They have bad owners" responses I've gotten on this thread. I'm starting to regret even replying on it, now that I see the ignorance I'm having

No, you're absolutely correct. I have never owned one. After getting bitten by one, and living in a trailer park where a "totally loving" pit bull killed a kid from the family that owned him, I would never have one. Maybe I'm a dog Breedist? Either way, name me one other breed that kills like pits do. Lots of breeds

It amazes me how much pit apologists ignore statistics. My ignorance is showing? Really? What breed has killed and severely maimed more people than any other, BY FAR, over the last 30 years or so? Count in the breed that has also killed and maimed more dogs....guess what? Pit Fucking Bulls. Boxers used to be attack

lmao I've had a dog every one of my 37 years. I know about the "nanny dog" thing, and I also know why pits are no longer considered that. Perhaps you have been educated beyond your intelligence.

Not talking about dogs that bite; we all know that little dogs bite way more than big ones. More like talking about dogs who kill and maim, humans and other dogs. If you're a vet tech, I'm sure you know those stats too, right?

Pits weren't "bread" to do anything. They weren't meant to be part of a sandwich. But they were bred to kill. And yes, there are a lot of shitty owners. There are also a lot of amazingly good owners who have a pit that killed or attacked someone. I am missing a chunk of knee from a pit who knew me, came from a really

Supernatural? Come on, man. Be serious for at least a second. It's very natural; in fact, the most natural thing in the world. Would you ever argue that a beagle, raised inside in a major city, who had never smelled a rabbit before, at 6 years old wouldn't catch the scent of a rabbit out in the country and suddenly

Hmm, so the Pit that took a chunk out of my knee, who was owned by my nephew and is the absolute baby of the house, treated incredibly well and tended to, this dog who had sat in my lap and I had petted and poured love onto on many occasions, suddenly bit me because she had shit owners? Kinda hard to believe, but

Lol so the loved and well-attended to Pit that took a chunk out of my knee, even after she'd cuddled in my lap on multiple occasions, is what? An outlier? Statistics say otherwise.

Then why are pits so overwhelmingly the culprits in human attacks and deaths? Sure, Chihuahuas bite more people than pits, but which one is overwhelmingly responsible for human deaths from a dog? Not even to mention attacks and deaths of other dogs, not even in a fight situation.

Are you that oblivious to the many attacks from pits who come from really good homes, and then one day kill one of the kids? That shit happens a lot. When I lived in TX, it happened quite a few times. all from good homes with awesome owners.

Yes, and every school shooting should just be referred to as an "incident" instead of a shooting, right?

In what way is it false? I've had multiple breeds of dogs. Each has done what they were bred to do. I've had Jack Russells, Boxers, Rat Terriers, Beagles, Bassett Hounds, Labs, and any number of mutts. Each wanted to do what they were bred for. Only the mutts weren't single-minded.

So why do they kill more people and other dogs by a FAR margin than any other breed?

Did you? Did you really? Kinda laughable. Statistics prove my point. What exactly proves yours?
