Seeing porn at 13 was one of my first experiences with sex and I turned out fine. I'm also not saying this seeing porn is how kids should learn about sex.

Absolutely not. If you truly think that men are more likely to be abusive just from watching porn, then you're very depressingly on the wrong track. First of all: most men watch porn, and second of all, a man's (or woman's) morality is not decided by 20 minutes of watching people have sex, it's decided by the…
The article is fine, but the header image is confusing me. What's the significance? What does it mean??
You can't speak so generally though. I'm sure that there are those who get the wrong idea from porn, but there are definitely people who don't take it seriously.
I understand all that, and obviously I'm not saying that we should only let kids learn sex through the misinformation of porn. I was always and only saying that my personal experiences with situations exactly like what you're describing never impacted my expectations of real-life sex.
Right?? It looks like something out of that Dreamcast game Seaman!
Well I'm also not saying that porn should be their only exposure. I'm definitely in favor of sexual education, I'm just saying that even if somehow porn is the only frame of reference for a kid, he should still understand that the girls he knows don't magically start acting like porn stars. This morning I've…
I completely agree.
Don't let yourself be offended by this person. With any luck they are just alone and unable to truly harm anyone with their ideas.
It's up to the individual to be who they want to be, you can't blame the media.
I understand what you're saying, and I've certainly learned a lot of other peoples experiences with the subject this morning, but my personal experience still stands:
Maybe you're right. I can only speak from my particular point of view though.
Haha, I'm a veteran of the internet porn wars.
I think you have to blame the person just as much as the porn.
haha, I'm a 25 year old dude, and when porn hit the internet, boom, I was there! I'm just surprised so many people are so disrespectful of their partners or haven't fully thought through what they're doing.
I have a legitimate question that's going to initially sound like a stupid joke:
I know what you mean, and I'm not about make some claim about people being too stupid to understand the exaggeration of porn, but I also think that it's unfortunate that evidently so many people are so misguided.
I want to know everything you think. I'm obviously being condescending, but I'm also legitimately fascinated by this response. Could I possibly convince you to send theories like this to me at WillAndBobby@gmail.com?
Haha, well of course that's the main reason, but I'm sure there's a small population of people that think they've spotted something no one else has: a phone number for the film studio or something like that. People are nuts.
I think I agree with you. Actually I'd written a completely different reply to the article that works well as my response here:
