@dbg2950: The engine is cycled through a range of speeds and loads. Highway travel rarely approaches max engine load, so keeping a heavy load on the engine in testing increases stresses and wear. It is not about equivalent speeds or RPMs.

@maximum-sienna: The 300 hour test is run with checks at regular intervals and oil is changed and sample. Also it is not run at WOT, it is a cyclical ramp.
