I don’t think that’s true. Are you implying that California wants less strict emissions standards than the rest of the country? It seems to me that’s always been the opposite of what they want, which is why California emissions cars kinda sucked for a while.
Now.. if it IS true, then it seems win-win to me. Your EPA

You know what would be great? Just adopt the European standards for emissions and throw in lighting and other obscure differences that make it difficult for cars to be sold in multiple markets.

I didn’t even know these things existed until I randomly saw one in a Walmart parking lot.  All I could think was “Hey!  Hyundai made a Vibe!”

So the justification for buying it is “Come on man... we’ve got shit tons of money we’ve stolen from people. Why SHOULDN’T we spend it on great toys for ourselves??”

I know the Turbo S Cab is amazing but any time I see one I can’t help but think that someone walked into a Porsche dealership and just said “I’ll have your most expensive, please!”

All of that may well be true but it doesn’t make it still not a terrible idea. I mean... WHY would you take this approach? This isn’t a thing that is valuable in any way. You know what else is accurate enough to make a car get through this course? The accelerometers in a phone. Why not just tell the car where it’s

Getting hit by a car is better than that stupid Dark Tower movie.  Checks out.

Why would anyone even begin to try to make an autonomous car work based on GPS alone? That’s a terrible idea no matter how you slice it.

I can’t help but think he must have been instrumental to the release of the tape.  I mean...  how would anyone even know it existed such that they’d make a request for it?

Just saw the video of this attempt and it was downright embarrassing. I’m pretty sure a Tesla on autopilot could have done it way better.

I like Porsche’s habit of just chucking them out once you get up to a certain level of performance. :)

Shitweasels?  Woe.  :(

I bought a new German car. Value seems to have gone up around 40% since I bought it.

“But despite looking like a cat trying to squeeze into a glass jar because the shape of the Supra and the NASCAR body template aren’t at all alike, the Supra is one of the more fitting choices for a NASCAR race car in recent history. It has racing roots, at least, and its street version isn’t known to be a

I agree that the cost of making one only for the top trim doesn’t make sense.  But if you’re making one for the bottom trim anyway because you’re gonna sell enough of them to make it worth while, the extra cost in making it available in the top trim is negligible.  For some reason, they just don’t do it.  They don’t

Thing is... if the thing has been engineered and is available as the base model... then there’s no reason not to offer it on the top model as a factory order. Don’t make too many and then lament they you’re not selling them. If I don’t find what I want on a dealer lot, I’ll order it. I’ve bought 6 new cars in my adult

I was going to mention this exact same thing. My wife had been wanting a small SUV of some sort and I was looking at getting a sports car so I figured I didn’t have much say anymore in the daily driver. When I found out there was a manual CX-5 available, I figured it might be a good option. Until I saw exactly what

Old Man Moroun:

Yesterday I saw a 4x4² out in front of my work.

I was actually feeling pretty smug about the “auto-erotic” thing when I wrote it.  Internet fail. 🙁
