Good that it's working for you but you will not find many small businesses or home users switching to the 365 model. I bought Office 2003 in college. 10+ years ago. Still works fine. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled on new PC's as I've bought them. Under the new model I pay $99/year. In the same period I'd be at

I think we're missing a fairly obvious one - SIM CITY 4! Released 2003.

I would go 2010. The UI is nice on big monitors and it performs well. I wouldn't pay more than $50-70 USD for it though. No idea what it retails for.

Me too. Who needs new? It works fine and I'll never pay for the subscription model MS roled out for Office 365.

Not really surprising is it? The red states only protect rich old white guys and the unborn.

If you only get offered "meh" jobs take one to pay the bills but don't stop looking for a better job. I took a job offered to me while still in grad school and stayed there for 4+ years. It was miserable but it paid well and I had stuff going on. I graduated, started paying back loans, bought a more reliable used car,

I'd love to work with someone to build my own Hackintosh. Any websites devoted to finding local users to work with on these?

What mouse and keyboard are you using? I've used a bunch of keyboard/mouse combo's with my MacBook and everything has been fine. From Logitech to Dell, everything has worked.

I think my experience is skewed bc we used it in a corporate environment. I hear you. I keep all kinds of stuff stored everywhere. When Apple went disc-less for OS updates I started putting the installers in a Dropbox account I don't use for anything else. Pretty handy.

I do not recommend Box to anyone. Terribly slow and constantly gives you sync errors that can never be resolved. We moved our entire corporate cloud structure from Box to Egnyte.

I've been using MyFitnessPal to track my intake and I've been running intervals as I trained for a half-marathon. In 12 weeks I lost 13 pounds and have continued to lose weight. Any more tips you can share to maximize weight loss?

Definitely. The Green Tape is soo much better. It costs a little more but how often do you really paint? If you do it right the first time you are less likely to want to repaint anytime soon. Eat the costs and make it look nicer - go Green Tape!

That's awesome. Congrats. I've ditched the sugary drinks too. There's way too much sugar in the world today and it adds to your handles. I watch what I eat, carefully, and workout a lot and I've managed to lose 13 pounds in the last couple of months. I was around 200lbs and that wasn't good. If you're interested in

Seriously? Alter your diet at all?

Absolutely the best way to start your day. Every morning I sit and eat and flip through Feedly on my iPad or turn on the local news. Might only be for 10 minutes but it helps get the day going. I need to be awake (eyes open, not in bed) for an hour or two before I'm officially awake and able to be productive.

It's a great app! I was happy to pay for it. Would love for it to bring in some Reminders.app like features but I guess it's a to-do list not a reminder list.

Same transition here. Small government agency to a small company. Much better at the small company.

Same experience on extenders. I bought 4 90 degree HDMI adapters and not 1 worked with their HDMI cables. I bought new 90 degree adapters at Micro Center and used Amazon Basics HDMI and everything works well. Also had a problem with a Thunderbolt - DVI adapter. Not my shop.

Anyone ... anyone? Say it, say it ... Monoprice! The place I've never had a good experience with but everyone else seems to love. Most people have been extremely satisfied with them but I have never had a positive experience so I stay away from them. BUT - Amazon Basics for my cabling needs seems to do well. So I

So is 20 considered high? My city says the hardness is 5 grains per gallon. I don't really know what any of this city infrastructure stuff means - except in Sim City.
