I think my happiest moment ever was showing up my mom one day totally by accident.

Yeah, I routinely forget how old I am.
I think what is really interesting about MNF is that, yes, it peaked in the early 90s because, yeah, you didn't have many other options for both football viewing or for other channels. But MNF is also an interesting case study in race. It's the only program of that time both blacks and whites watched. You think your…
I watch way too much local news and one trend I will never understand is featuring the anchors with iPads. Do you really want to advertise that there is a better way to get your news?
Yeah, I am Drew’s age too and I definitely don't remember Cossell. In kid world I had other things to do.
I laughed about it too. Like he couldn't take the time to Google and find out these people shoot at planes?? They are openly hostile and he thought he just kayak over there?
I just like that it literally says credit permitting at the bottom of the screen throughout the ad.
I worked for about a day at Amazon’s “Denver 2" location. I put that in quotes because it is nowhere near Denver. The nearest...anything...is like 10 miles away. And that anything is the airport, which has Drew noted, is 500 miles from anything. My built in GPS, which is kind of old, just gave up on where I was. No…
I agree. Phones should fit in your pocket.
You know you don’t have to read the articles, right?
I have always felt like gymnastics has an aspect of Moneyball to it — i.e. looking at the scoring and how to gain more points. But gymnasts get those points, like for connections, because it is harder to do. I watched a lot of very pretty floor routines, but Simone is just so much more powerful, more dynamic, it is…
Ugh. I have horrible, crippling anxiety and I cannot get access to the meds I need because they are Schedule I and, shockingly because I have a chronic medical condition, I don’t health insurance or much money. Yet, there are 4 liquor stores in walking distance (and I mean old man walking distance) of my house. Guess…
I coach youth sports and I cannot imagine a more terrifying situation than being trapped in a cave with them.
Also, as someone who watches a lot of Rockies games, I would say the Rockies pitchers aren’t the best at throwing strikes anyway.
I think all of these shootings are tragic, and everyone wants “something to be done.”
100% agree. My ancient biddy of a roommate leaves her phone on full volume 24/7 and, being ancient, actually gets calls that play out the full default ringtone, full blast. At which point she will ask, “was that my phone or the TV?”
For me, 100% agree. There is no fluidity to the game. I don’t even react to the play until I see or don’t see a flag. Then the game turns into a CSI/Law and Order saga. I hate the whole maintain control micro analysis. I always want to point out that the laws of physics will continue to operate.
It is a lifestyle where I am in suburban Colorado, an area that does have winter. But walk around and you will see people lounging in their garages — or worse, working! Like at a desk. I know one neighbor who has fixed his one car garage up like a cheap law office. Desk, filing cabinets, etc.
Right or wrong call, this is where the NFL loses fans. Not all fans, who really can argue the rulebook, but your average casual fan who is watching an exciting game suddenly halt into a lengthy CSI drama. Those very casual fans the league needs start heading to the exits.
