Some people will literally just put the sauce in a pan long enough to get it warm..and that’s it. And yes it always tastes like watered-down crap. If I use sause from a jar, I simmer it with Onion, bell pepper and garlic for about 20 mins.

I don’t recommend bringing sauce to a boil...that shit will get everywhere. A steady simmer works fine.
