If I remember back to biology class, sometimes when two wheels get together, sometimes the undesirable traits match up and low and behold something new is born.

That “unpredictable” part is especially important. People should strive to be less “polite” in traffic, and more predictable.

Always this.  I grew up where it snows every winter and so learned how to drive in it.  Came to Nashville and it does no good.  The people here don’t know how to handle snow and ice so it’s more dangerous with them on the road.
