Listen, people are awkward. Jokes are a way to lighten the mood. I know people who tell stale old jokes and I’m ok with that. It’s a way to ease the tension. The fact that they’re trying is what you should concentrate on, not how imaginative and clever their joke was. Give people a break. We’re all trying.
