IIRC there was my dad driving, my mom next to him, 2 of us on her lap and 2 behind the seat. Roof was probably out like you did. We were very small but I do sometimes wonder if I remember it wrong anyway.

We had one that looked almost exactly like this when I was a kid living in Florida. My dad convinced us it was faster than our friend’s 240Z because it was lighter, and lighter meant faster! We fit our family of 6 in here one time for a short trip. I still don’t know how we did it.

I don’t know where 19mph came from but it had much more speed than that as it began the skid. The display would only show wheel speed, not sideways speed.

I did sideways at speed (possibly 50mph) during an autocross and went into the grass in my Focus ST. No airbag deployment, for what it’s worth.

Am I the only one who saw 59mph right in the beginning of that spin? Even if that was a fluke from wheelspin (since it jumped there just momentarily) it was high 40s immediately before and that number slowly went down through the spin. Of course, the readout on the screen indicates wheel speed, not sideways speed, so…

The ND2 has a telescoping steering wheel. Maybe it’s time to check again.
