Assessing a car (for manual or whatever) strikes me as the human version of doing this. Just checking out the competition.

Actually what year ST did you have? I know the Focus had trouble around 2012-13. Mine is 2014 and I haven’t read about steering issues with it. Also if you want to share your lawyer’s name, maybe he’d have most of the work done for another case!

I still have mine. The state attorney general angle doesn’t have any teeth and Ford just flat out refused. So I took their discount and ran. They most likely lost a Ford buyer for life but I don’t think they give a shit. Fuck them. What did you get to replace it?

I was just looking at these recently. They are pretty fast and there is software out there that makes them much faster. You can get 58-hp to the wheels out of the Trifecta software. I got into this rabbit hole because I have a Focus ST and the software upgrades don’t do very much at all for them, except torque.

My brother sells these in NJ and he showed me a photo from when he flew out to California to see them. He was arguing with me about the similarities and couldn’t believe I thought they looked similar. Maybe in person it looks much different.

Am I the only one who thinks it looks too much like an Optima? Maybe they’re going for the “same sausage, different lengths” approach that Mercedes and BMW do. I guess it works well for them.

I recommend this one for tomorrow. Extra points if the license plate comes with it. I bought one like this new and used to joke about getting this very plate. I can’t believe someone else had the same idea.

Great show and I agree with your analysis. All these shows have fake drama built in, including this one. But it’s less irritating than the typical show. The sessions where he explains what he’s fixing in the cars, and what typically go wrong with the particular model were the most redeeming quality.

But you’ll always have that trip.
